The Bandai Power Rangers toy team is powered up to answer questions submitted by fans. We are committed to providing fans deeper insight into Bandai’s Power Rangers toy line and all the fun in store for the future.
Our goal is to continually keep our fan base in-the-know about the latest and greatest from the Power Ranger toyline with this toy-specific forum. (Please note that there are some topics we cannot publicly discuss, including questions involving the Power Rangers TV series, hypothetical “what if” questions about the brand, product ideas/submissions, and sales data.)
The Power Rangers team certainly appreciates our fans’ continued passion and dedication to the brand – Go Go Power Rangers!
So, let’s get started with the first round of the five most frequently asked Power Rangers questions:
2010 – Mighty Morphin Power Ranger Product Line
1. With the reversioned MMPR episodes, will you be making ______ (Rita Figure, Dragonzord, Morpher) to be released in 2010 or 2011?
At this time we have no plans to release toys based on these characters, weapons or vehicles in 2010. However, that doesn’t mean we won’t make a certain character, weapon or vehicle in the future.
2. I’ve noticed my Target and K-Mart stores don’t have Power Rangers toys on their shelves. Where can I find the new fall 2010 line?
The new Mighty Morphin Power Rangers product lineup for fall 2010 has shipped and should be showing up at select Wal-Mart, Meijer and Toys R Us locations across the U.S., as well as online through Amazon.com. The Power Rangers section of our Bandai.com website will also be updated shortly with details of new fall product line, so be sure to check it out!
3. Where can I find the Titanus Mix & Morph Base?
The Titanus Mix & Morph Base (31410) can currently be found at Amazon.com.
4. What goes into deciding on the characters or products released?
Such a good question! There are many factors at play when deciding what Power Rangers characters or products are put into production. Our brainstorming process usually starts a little over a year before the scheduled release date. That’s when the Power Rangers toy team discusses what characters, size, features, and accessories we should add, based on consumer input, competition in the market place and industry trends. The teams’ ideas are then given to our counterparts at our design team in Asia who then create concept sketches, sculpts and painted models. It is also during this time that we work hand in hand with the licensor (formerly Disney, now Saban Brands) to create product names, integrate new toy technology, and discuss how we can localize any of the cool Bandai Japan Power Rangers product in addition to items made just for the North American market, as well as make sure our product releases are in sync with the show’s content.
2011 – Power Rangers
5. Now that the new cast has been revealed for the 2011 Power Rangers season, when will we start to see the new product?
The Power Rangers toy team is currently working very closely with Saban Brands to design and develop our 2011 product line to reflect the new show and theme. We are planning for product to hit shelves in conjunction with the premiere of the new show on Nickelodeon in 2011.

The new theme will be announced late 2010.

Bandai America Incorporated Morphs the Event as Premier Sponsor
PASADENA, CALIF. – August 09, 2010 – Go, Go Power Rangers! The second annual Power Morphicon will morph the Pasadena Convention Center into Ranger Central. Power Morphicon will feature exclusive panels, guest appearances, and a silent auction the weekend of August 27-29, 2010. More than one thousand attendees will enjoy expanded offerings this year, featuring a variety of engaging experiences including more than twenty specialty vendors, costume contests and a Power Quest Trivia Game. This year the convention welcomes the master toy licensee, Bandai America Incorporated, as the premier sponsor.
The Power Rangers convention boasts an impressive roster of fan favorites from the iconic series, who will participate in panels and exclusive autograph signings. Special guests include Jason David Frank, Steve Cardenas, Karen Ashley, Barbara Goodson, Blake Foster, Walter Emanuel Jones, Matt Austin, Jessica Rey, Catherine Sutherland, Tony Oliver and many more. In addition, Bandai America Incorporated will be hosting a booth in the Dealers Room providing fans the opportunity to meet and take photos with two of the Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers characters on Saturday! The Bandai America Incorporated booth will also include a rare look at a collection of Power Rangers toys, and offer limited giveaways. Additional vendors participating in this year’s convention include CS Toys International, RedStarRobot and AnimeBooks.com among others.

Attention Tama Fans!
There will be Tama sightings this weekend at the 2010 Teen Choice Awards! Look for Mametchi and Chamametchi between 1pm and 5pm this Sunday in the area surrounding the Gibson Amphitheater located at the Universal City Walk.
