    "Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind” Model Kit Now Available to Ship!

    Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind” Model Kit. From Bandai Shokugan's Souzou Galleria Series: a highly detailed desktop model kit faithfully recreates the Gunship from "Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind." The engine part houses the battery unit which enables blue LED lighting (LRR41 batteries not included). This set consists of the Gunship body, 4 pilot figures, 2 landing gear parts, a pair of tweezers and a display stand.

    Hayao Miyazaki made Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind in 1984, though Miyazaki is best known as the Studio Ghibli animater, Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind was released before Ghibli’s formation. Miyazaki and co-founders Isao Takahata and Toshio Suzuki consider it to be the foundation of their production company, since it contains the style and narrative scope the company’s films seek to achieve through animation.

    Our Top 5 Favorite Studio Ghibli Characters

    Who hasn't fantasized about being in one of their favorite Studio Ghibli movies? I know we have. We have often daydreamed about meeting or even becoming one of our favorite characters.     Princess Mononoke Returns to Theaters

    GKIDS Studio Ghibli Fest 2019 continues with Princess Mononoke returning to theaters on November 17, 18, and 20 with Fathom Events. Kids of all ages can celebrate the magic from legendary director, Hayao Miyazaki. Princess Mononoke was released in Japan on July 12, 1997, and came to the United States on October 29, 1999. Right out of the gate the film was met with critical and commercial success, becoming the highest-grossing film of 1997 in Japan. However, Princess Mononoke didn’t see as much success in the U.S. when it came to theaters in 1999, but has grown quite a cult following over the last 20 years.

    Princess Mononoke is set in Muromachi Japan, where humans, forest gods and animals are fighting for survival. The story follows Ashitaka, a young prince who is infected by a demon while saving his village from an attack. His only hope for a cure is to head west in search of the Great Forest Spirit before it’s too late and his soul is ripped apart.
