This past weekend, May 9th, 2021 was celebrated as Goku Day and Tamashii Nations brought out the red carpet during this celebratory event. Fun fact: The numbers 5 and 9 can be read in Japanese as "Go" and "Ku" forming the word Goku, which just so happens to be the name of our favorite orange gi-wearing Saiyan.
Prior to Goku Day, on May 7th, Tamashii Nations shared two images on their social channels, one picture was an image of earth from a very historic episode in Dragon Ball GT, and the second image they shared was a logo for said series, Dragon Ball GT, a series that had aired after Dragon Ball Z.
Fans of the franchise had a good hunch of what was to come on Goku Day, and many could not wait any longer for Sunday to arrive. On Sunday, Tamashii Nations officially revealed and announced the release of S.H.Figuarts Super Saiyan 4 Goku.
" Happy Goku Day! First announced in production a year ago, here he is, Super Saiyan 4 Goku from Dragonball GT."
Tamashii Nations had also announced that this figure would be a worldwide release, which had the fans even more excited.
From the photos revealed, SS4 Goku comes with plenty of accessories right off the bat. Not only does it include several exchangeable hands such as his hands for instant transmission, and hands to charge up his Kamehameha x10, but it also comes with exchangeable faces, and the effect ball for the Kamehameha x10. All that included in one figure has us so excited, we cannot wait to get our hands on it and check it out. Check out the gallery at the end for a closer look at Super Saiyan 4 Goku.
