Lets welcome in the new year with a new round of Star Trek Next Phase previews!
In the Romulan Reunification Scenarion you will choose which Faction you will play on, the Underground (Dove Symbol) or the Senate (Fist Symbol). Many cards will feature one or both of these Symbols. When a card is flipped, simply apply the text that follows your Symbol and ignore any text that follows your opponent’s Symbol.
A few new additions can be found in the Exploration Scenario. First if you look closely at the mid left portion of this card you will notice a face down card Symbol as well as the word HIDDEN. Missions/Events with that Symbol are turned face down once you complete them so it is harder for your opponents to remember you have them. The reason for keeping them hidden is because they have special effects that can be acquired throughout the game if you meet certain conditions. In the case of the DNA Fragment, if a player is able to collect all 4 of the fragments, they win the game. This set also features a few cards that have additional effects outside of the REWARD that will last throughout the game or as long as you posses the Item . Be careful as other may try to steal your Items.

I love new mechanics and the hidden point cards is a fun idea. Especially since it introduces another win condition.
The new scenario sounds like it will be fun. Lots of options is what makes this game so much fun.

Holodeck cards? If there aren’t any, they would make for a great 2-3 card set dealing with trapping a character in the holodeck, or distracting a character in a holodeck, or linking it to Q, etc.
