Today we will be looking at our first Mission from the Infection Scenario. Hopefully from the time of this article you have guessed which Mission we will be looking at so without further adieu….
FLIP: Each player gains 1 Infection unless they reveal an Infection from their hand. You get +1 mission explore.
GOAL: 3+ Speed | More Characters then Infections in your bridge.
REWARD: You may trash 1 card from your bridge. You get +1 Search and + 3xp.
The first thing you will notice on this Mission is that there is an Infection symbol on the top right corner of the card. This isn’t found on every card in the Infection Scenario but is on any that give you an Infection so that you don’t miss it. That same Symbol will be found on each Infection Card. The likely questions you are asking yourself is “What is an Infection Card?” and “What is a Mission Explore?”, well to find that out what an Infection Card is you will have to come back next week when we preview our first Infection Card.
For now let’s break down this Mission. All Missions with an Infection symbol will give some players an Infection. Additionally they will give you +1 Mission Explore, which is an explore that CAN ONLY be spend to complete a Mission, be it in the Mission Area or one of your Draft Missions. The GOAL on these Missions like all other Missions, usually relate in some way to the episode it’s based on. Lastly, the REWARD will usually allow you to trash cards because that is the main method for getting rid of the Infections that you have gained. Thus the Missions that give you the Infections also offer you a way to get rid of them if you can complete it.
