    Post Galactic Conquest – Star Trek DBG Game Mode

    Object of the Game:
    Obtain Planets from the Space Deck by meeting their goals.

    How to Win:
    Be the player with most planets at the end of the game.

    Game is over when all 11 planets have been obtained from the space deck.

    This mode plays just like exploration mode except instead of reaching a 400 point total, players race to conquer or diplomacy planets to aid them in becoming the strongest power in the galaxy.

    Space Deck Contains:
    15 Star Ships
    14 Exploration Event Cards (except for Q)
    11 Planets
    * Planet Card are the main objective in the mode
    * Each planet gives a planetary bonus or P.B. for your flagship to use
    * However a Flagship can’t use more than 2 planetary bonuses or P.B. at the same time. These are the stats at bottom of the card.
    * Players can change their P.B. at the beginning of their turn or when they obtain a new planet.
    * Players can not count the stats of P.B. when attempting to obtain another Planet.


    War Event Cards:
    In this mode, if a star ship is destroyed during a War event it loses one of its P.B. That planet card is placed in the Planet Area.

    The Planet area is basically the Mission area except that you can put up to 3 planets in it and this area can only be populated by Planets forfeited due to War Events.

    The winner of the War event can choose to remove the War event from the game or choose to shuffle it back into the space deck.

    Awesome! This is a great scenario, love the concept! It'll be even better when Dominion cards come out. In fact, I've already been thinking about a scenario where, when enough expansions are available, you run a four-player game (two teams), each using their own starbase deck which is all preset by the scenario, so no actual building the starbase deck, but the Federation/Klingon/Romulans/Ferengi having one deck, and the Dominion/Cardassians having the other.

    A few problems with the cards as they are, and this is just my nerdy nitpicker coming out, but hey, we're all nerds here, right? Obviously, the Federation symbol is missing from Vulcan, as are the Cardassian and Ferengi symbols missing from all of their worlds. Also, the quadrant and system is incorrect on a lot of these. The correct data is as follows:

    Earth - Alpha Quadrant/Sol System
    Mars - Alpha Quadrant/Sol System
    Qo'noS - Beta Quadrant/Klingon System
    Maranga IV - Beta Quadrant (although its possible this planet was in the Alpha Quadrant - onscreen data insufficient, perhaps someone with the Star Charts book could clarify)/Maranga System
    Ferenginar - Alpha Quadrant/System unspecified (Might as well be the Ferengi System)
    Cardassia Prime - Alpha Quadrant/Cardassian System
    Soukara - Alpha Quadrant/System Unknown (Might I suggest maybe AR-558 instead, which was in the Chin'toka System, and was the subject of a cooler episode?)
    Romulus - Beta Quadrant/Romulan System
    Remus - Beta Quadrant/Romulan System
    Vulcan - Beta Quadrant/40 Eridani System

    Also, I might suggest dropping Mars in favor of either Betazed, Andoria, or Tellar Prime. Also, I'm assuming Bajor will be the 11th planet. If not, it ought to be, despite DS9 not being a thing yet in this game.

    Still working on Goals and Flip ideas. Haven't got to the card design part yet becasue I'm thinking about adding points in to the game. Vulcan will be the planet that ends the game. Still have 1 more small planet to add. Probably will be another War Planet. Changed the Failure condition. More to come.
