Player Skirmishes - Custom Game Play Concept

This custom idea is to be used in the exploration game mode.

    Declaring War.

Each Player Recieves 2 War Encounters for the entire game...There is no way to gain extra Encounters.

Players can use their war encounters when the turn player would Search a card out of star base, buy a card from star base or complete a mission from the mission area to keep them from completing their goal.

A War Encounter only includes the player who initiated the skirmish and the Turn player. The Turn Player can never initiate an skirmish.

Other non-turn players can join the skirmish by using 1 of their War Encounters.

Once all players in the current skirmish have played their cards (Like normal player battle rules), each player checks their ships stats. If any of the Non-Turn Player ships have both Speed and Diplomacy stats that are less than or equal to half of the Turn-Player's ship Speed and Diplomacy stats (respectivily) they are removed from the skirmish.

Ships that are removed from the skirmish do not take any damage however they forfeit the War Encounter they used.

Use regular War rules to decide who deals damage first. The Turn Player wins ties.

If the Turn Player loses a skirmish their previous action is nullified. If it was a search or an explore to complete a mission then that player loses that search or explore respectivly. If they tried to buy a card from star base, that card remains in Star Base but it becomes unavailabe to the turn player until their next turn.

If the Turn Player wins, they gain +1 Search.

    Defeated Star Ships,
    - Turn Player ends their turn immediatly
    - All other ships lose their next turn.

I believe this should add some new twists and fun for this card game. Think about all the times when someone searched away one of your favorite cards or searched only to find Data or Troi and bought it without you ever getting the chance. With this new addition to the game now you can have a say in how players use star base cards, complete missions and even have a chance to keep players from winning the game (at least for a turn). Only having two chances to do this makes players really think about how they will use this means of disruption.
