    Fun Combos

I've played my first game today and found out Data works really well with Kurn (Data puts cards on the top of your draw pile, so that Kurn knows his odd/even...).

Feel free to put here more combos you like.

Data and Beverly Crusher are a great combo. Put two cards from your discard pile onto your draw deck, then switch them with any two cards in your hand.

Q (the Starbase card) combos great with a ton of stuff. The most damaging is with cards like Diana and Lwaxana Troi. You play Diana, peek at someones hand and discard a card, then play Q then Lwaxana, pick two numbers (of cards in their hand), peek again and have them discard two cards. That's three cards in one turn and your bridge is ready to explore and do nearly any mission or capture most ships.

As for Kurn, I always pick odd since the majority of the card costs are odd (especially when you factor in the basic characters 1/3/5) and I rarely buy the few even point characters/maneuvers.

If you can grab Peak Performance and B'etor in the first couple of turns, and avoid buying more basic characters, you should be able to get to a 5 card deck of beastly characters in no time.

As long as good cards come out of the Starbase. There's nothing worse than having a Peak Performance in your hand the only thing to buy are Transporters, System Improvements and Photon Torpedoes.

agreed - I ended a 5-player game last night with 0 points. I had a 14-card deck by the end consisting of 4 Commanders, 2 Transporters, 2 Peak Performance, 1 Diagnostic Check, 2 Sensor Scan, 1 System Improvements, Movar, and Geordi. I simply could not get any of the characters I needed to come up in starbase on my turn. Sometimes that's just what happens, and is part of what keeps this game so interesting. You have to be able to play the hand you're dealt, and sometimes you just get screwed.

    I still had fun, though!
