To fulfill my promise of previews, I present to you, Mark Wilkins!
Mark was originally conceived to start with a Handgun, as he did in the game, but it quickly became apparent that his biggest strength, at least for the CCG, was his brute strength when using iron pipes, wooden boards, or any of the other random tchotchkies you could find to bash your opponents down with. Since characters in our beloved DBG already start with a pistol, it was only right to reflect Marks other brutish quality. I guess I could’ve reflected how slow Mark was, or how he couldn’t fit under a bed, or into a closet to hide from zombies, but I instead went for this type of effect. Even if there is a lack of “Melee” Weapons in your scenario, the level 1 effect is very solid and keeps Mark in his aggressive slot.
But what if you wanted a “Melee” Weapon? Well….
This stick is meant to keep the baddies away and to control crowds of them as well. Feel like swinging for the fences? Use that extra Explore, then ship one of them to the top. This Weapon has great applications if your the first player in your team while playing Mercenaries. Setting your friend up for the kill was a tactic a few of us enjoyed doing. Others simply enjoyed using the plus Explore to go rambo on a few more Infected.
How would you play Mark? Would you go for the Stun Rod, or plow through the Mansion by using multiple Weapons?
