League Play for the Resident Evil [DBG] will begin in June. Stores that have been approved for the Alliance launch kit, will be getting the League Play kit automatically.
Each league kit is made to last 2 months. Each kit will contain 2 promotional items, 1 for each month, that should be given out to players at the stores discretion. The only explicit rule for these promotional items is that they CANNOT be sold by the store, so if you encounter a store that is selling them, please contact us (link at the bottom of every page) and let us know about it.
We encourage stores that are participating in the League Play program to post their upcoming events in our forums in the League Play section.
Finally the part that you are likely most excited to hear about, the June/July promotional items will be……bum bum bum…..Foil C-006 ADA WONG and Foil C-015 HUNK. We will begin shipping the kits next week.
If your store is not yet participating in our promotional program, please have them contact us at takenakaj(AT)bandai.com and request to be a part of our League Play program.
So does this mean that we will get an updated version of TOP so we can report Resident Evil events? Also, will there be a set format to play with?
This is a more casual league play, there is no event reporting. You simply post your events on the forums and run them. As this is not a tcg, we will not be doing reporting via TOP or any other software.

This is great news! Now we can invite friends and have them really enjoy and start this up. Looks like Bandai is catering to the fans and doing all they can to keep this series fresh.

How many copies of each card is each store getting? Will there be enough for everyone?
I believe there will be 40 copies of each card.
When should the stores be expecting them?
They are being shipped out now, so they should be arriving within a few days depending on the distance from Cypress, CA.
Will there be more play mats? People at my store have been really wanting them.
We are working on ways to make more game mats available.
It would be cool if all the character cards would get a foil, I would love that!!!
