Comments for my current scenario setup

This is the current setup for my 3 players game... like to hear your comments...
    - the 3 ammo (+10, +20 + 30)
    - green herb
    - knife
    - handgun

    - Every player get to draft max 2 cards (weapon or action), 1 at a time in clockwise direction.

    - Then the rest of the resource will be random, but capped at 7 actions and 7 weapons. The player can choose not to draft and can choose to re-random X number of resources depending on how many cards he did not draft.

    Why we do this?
    1. Based on your character ability, certain cards have to be present to make your character playable so the drafting is important. (we randomize characters and the player can only repick and get another random character once)

    2. We get to play some of the very uncommon or unpopular resouces through the random. In other words, every scenario is different which makes the game more interesting.

    3. We want to make the game harder and requires more strategy thinking.

Here are the rules we play with:

    1. Lay out all standard resources (new Ammo 10/20/30, Reliable Blade, Custom Standard Sidearm, Green/Red Herb pile (only mixed pile remaining).

    2. 12 resource piles are dealt out completely at random, from all "normal" resources - all weapons and actions, Treasure, and First Aid Spray.

    3. Each player is dealt three characters at random

    4. Each player is dealt 5 skills, then we draft skills.

    5. Based on available resources, each player assesses the strengths and weaknesses of each character and skill they have, and decides if they want to play partners mode and take two characters and no skills, or if they want to play solo and take one character and three skills.

I don't like drafting resources for a number of reasons. The game is much more fun (imo) if you have no control at all over the resources, as otherwise each player simply buys all the resources that they chose to put out. There is no reason to experiment with other cards and build an unusual deck.

There is one other house rule we use. All the "special" weapons, such as the Gatling Gun, Signature Special, Punsher, Grenade Launcher, etc., are shuffled into their own resource pile, face down. The top two cards are flipped over, and are availabel for purchase to anyone. If a player buys either weapon, the other card is moved to the bottom of the special weapon pile, and two new cards are flipped over.
