More than the basic pistol isn't as needed with the new basic resources, 100 damage for 60 ammo is great for any character,and Nightmare Leon's abilities are not that great once you have the deck you want. That said, I voted Nightmare.

LIN Chris vs. Mercs Barry.

This is the match that likely makes the winner, I think. (Whoever wins here has to go through the winner of Wesker/Claire, and then the winner of Ada/Leon. Yeah.) Barry can get INSANE chains, and avoid evil effects like Nightmare Hunter, but he needs just a bit a luck for it. Chris gets consistiency with his 2 explores, and that shield is always nice. Gotta vote Chris.

Barry. The abilities on both of them are strong and Chris level 2 kicks at about the same time as Barry's only effect, but that 20 health gap can make a huge difference, its an extra Nightmare Hunter, Giant Majini, or Nemesis reveal if nothing else.

If there is any justice, Wesker will win this round, and he definitely has my vote. He does EVERYTHING better than Claire: shop rushes (2 dec as opposed to 6), survives (triple-digit health over dying to boss in one hit), and gets extra explores. There is simply no reason for Claire to win this round, at all.

I don't hate Premier Claire as a character, no. I just hate the fact that she's beaten 2 characters who are outright better than her (Mysterious Mask, Billy) to get to this point of the bracket, and I feel it would be an even bigger injustice if she were to beat one of the top 3 characters in the game.

She's okay, I guess, but my theory is that a lot of people like her for sentimental value, as far as the game goes (or they just think she's hot). She's a very good beginner's character, and my guess is that a lot of people may have gotten attached to that, but to me, it's still no excuse. Hell, the first character I ever used was Premier (Magnum) Barry, and he's not even close to being my favorite character in the game, nor was he ever.

Well, she didn't beat Wesker. Though to be fair, while I did vote Claire for Mask and Billy (they're rather easy to screw up), I do agree she had no real chance at all against Wesker. Speaking of...

Barry has this, no pun intended. Wesker's extra explore being mandatory has too much of a chance of backfiring in this particular case. Aside from possibly blowing himself up with it (always a thing, to be fair), here, if Barry doesn't get killed should he be given the extra explore, thats a free killstreak, plus hes gonna see whatever breaks said streak.

Looking at it from a this character vs this one, which is how I think of it, Wesker can't even grief Barry that well, since that extra explore just means he flips twice as many things.
