That for a Mercenaries expansion my copy (If not all copies) is missing the 5 Bonus cards for the Mercenaries mode mansion >.> Seems a little odd for a base set. I still have my copies from Alliance and Vanilla, but I assumed we'd be getting more this set too.

That...is a really good point. I noticed that they also aren't included in the Rulebook 5.0. Ironic that an base set called "Mercenaries" doesn't include cards necessary for Mercenaries Mode. Glad I have mine from the other sets.

Are they really necessary for Mercenaries mode, tho? I haven't played Mercenaries mode yet, to be honest, but I didn't think the Time Bonus cards were required.

Perhaps they feel the balance of the game works better without those cards and didn't include them in this set.

They aren't necessary, strictly speaking, but they somewhat dictate the flow of the mode. They are the main way you can increase the number of turns left in a match.

This couldn't have been intentional though, because the bonus cards are pictured in the 5.0 rulebook, and have their own section.

If you look at the picture of those bonus cards in the 5.0 rulebook they are worded differently from the bonus cards in the priemer and alliance sets. o.o
