new player, got some questions regarding premier

    1) Leon's level 2, for the pistol to use twice, does it require twice the amount of ammo required?

    2) Jail breaker, does the effect stay even at the end of the turn if no explore is made?

    3) Jail breaker, if explored for first time and used effect to kill infected, does the gun considered used, hence needing another set of ammo to explore again?

    4) S75 Rifle, if the effect is used, does the gun need to be shot?

    5) If a gun is played, does it have to be used in the next explore in the same turn? Can I just play it for the weapon effect?

    6) Do I select which gun to use first, then explore... or explore first, then select played guns according to the infected?

    7) Grenade, does it get trashed after being played, even when no explore is done? (Assuming no Jill Lv2)

There are all the questions I have net thru playing a few games with first setup.

    Thanks in advance ^_^

    1. If you choose to fire it 2x then it uses 2x ammo.

    2. You can only use a weapon effect if you explore with it. If you dont explore with it (you must have the ammo...you cant just not shoot it and get the effect) then you dont benefit from the effect.

    3. It doesnt require more ammo...you just explore again.

    4. See 2. Yes the gun must be shot to use the effect.

    5. Again see 2.

    6. You select the guns first then explore.

    7. If you dont explore you dont play the grenade and it just gets discarded. You only use and trash it if you explore with it.

Question. When exactly is the weapons trigger enabled?

    Example:
    Explore
    Play Single-shot Rifle
Play enough ammo to use it
    Reveal --> Zombie (male)
    Defeat

Where do I have the player discard?

The weapons trigger is enabled when you play the weapon, which you cannot do unless you have announced you are exploring.

    Example:
Announce that you are exploring. You are now committed to this explore no backing down.
Play single shot rifle (along w any other weapons you are going to play)
Use ammo you have already played previously (or add more to power weapons...in this respect I dont think it really matters...you just cant take ammo away).
    Apply weapon effect.
    Reveal infected.
    See what happens.

The player discard is your face up pile where you put all of your spent cards from the previous turns...the one you shuffle when you inventory runs out.

Wait, aren't you contradicting what you said? Can't you play a weapon without ammo to get the effect, but not technically "shoot", granted you're still commited to Explore and potentially take damage. And you don't have to play any ammo previously, you can play it on your explore phase.

    So in my example:

    Example:
    Explore
Play Single-shot Rifle (this is where the discard happens?)
Play enough ammo to use it
    Reveal --> Zombie (male)
    Defeat

    Why not:
    Example:
    Explore
    Play Single-shot Rifle (player discards)
    No ammo
    Reveal --> Zombie (male)
    Take damage

Note that as per page 10 of the rulebook, you play the weapons along with the ammunition required to use them. As such if you do not have sufficient ammunition, you can't play the weapon.

    So basically the steps are:

    Announce explore
    Play gun(s), meeting ammo count
    Activate and resolve gun effect
    Reveal
    Resolve battle

    -----

But can you play weapons without exploring?

Like... can I play combat knife, just because I got it, but choose not to explore?

    -----

Also, I vaguely seen the term "drafting game" around.. is it similar to MTG's draft?

    How do I approach that?

The only place in the rule book where it says weapons can be played is after you have declared the explore.

I'm not 100% sure on this, but when 'draft' is mentioned in this game, it means that the players will go around taking turns choosing what cards will go into the resource pool. The players don't automatically gain the cards, but they will ensure that it is available during the game.
