New Player Questions

Last Saturday (June 16th), I was lucky enough to get to go to Comic Con in Denver. I had heard of the RE DBG before and had been interested but found a good deal on both the Alliance and Outbreak sets as a combo pack while at the convention.

I really don't have anyone to play with and was looking at it for a single player experience 90% of the time. I was reading the instruction manual for Alliance and it seems pretty convoluted without a person to point out and explain things to me. Is there an easier way to learn the game?

Second, I opened my Outbreak set and it came with circular chips. Should/can I use those with the Alliance set? I have yet to read most of the Outbreak manual, so what are those even for? Also, why are the ammo cards in the Outbreak set bigger and thicker than the Alliance ones?

Next, is it possible to use character cards from the Outbreak set in scenarios from the Alliance set?

I'm pretty happy with the character card selection from the two sets, but I'm missing Chris B.S.A.A and Jill B.S.A.A. Which of the sets come with them? Also, what characters come with the other two sets?

Lastly, which of the four sets had the best single player experience? Does it even matter?


Sorry for all the noob questions but I figured it would be best to ask those that play regularly.

2. The chips mark HP and max HP lost on your character card.
3. Pretty much yes, there's nothing preventing you from doing that, although some outbreak specific characters might not be very useful in a non-outbreak mode game.
4. BSAA Jill and Chris are promo cards (at least if you're refering to the outfits they have in Lost in Nightmare) Regular RE5 Chris is in the first set, but he sucks.
5. Alliance is not so great for that, because of the many partner cards, Outbreak could work because of the timer with the infection...
