Personally, I wouldn't mind playing with proxies, and considering I also played with opaque sleeves, proxies wouldn't have been a problem either. I even made my own proxies for randomizing/drafting the resource area for the games. But saying one thing (Wesker promo getting more distribution, fixing cards) and then not doing anything and not even communicating for months (even for set 5) is very poor customer support IMHO.

When I said 'May's league setup' I was referring to the monthly custom scenario that they post in the news section. It was updated this morning (along with an interesting optional new ruling) so no more worries here. Just have to be patient for the rest of the stuff.

I'll take it you are genuinely curious since there is no emoticon nor teal to indicate sarcasm. And to answer your question, those of us who have misprinted cards have not been given any info about how to get replacements nor any info at all regarding the possibility of obtaining said replacements.

I use opaque sleeves as well. So it makes me curious as to how you used proxies in your game. I mean outside of random determination for resource piles of course. But did you actually use proxies for cards in your inventory? Wasn't it easy to tell just by look or feel which cards were proxies?

Ah...ok. I misunderstood. And yes...we get another slap in the face. I mean scenario. Hooray!!

*Bandai: If you can't get us the replacements you should have just come out and said so. If there is a kink in the plans, then you should have come out and said so. If the replacements are included in the next set then post info about it along with a "oh btw, about the replacements..." blurb. All I'm asking for is to know. But whatever really...I was on the fence about buying Nightmare (before the misprint announcement) and went ahead and bought it anyways after the misprint was brought to our attention. I will not be buying anymore future product for this game.

I don't recall any promises that replacements for the misprinted cards were coming. Last I heard they were just 'looking into it.' Obviously they either concluded that it's such a minor quibble and easily fixed with an update to the FAQ page or they just haven't announced anything yet. Don't you think it's a little unreasonable to boycott a product you enjoy using just because of a few typos?

I don't think it's unreasonable to boycott them. They knew about the typos before the game was released & we still had to pay full price for the set. I shouldn't have to pay full price for their mistake. There shouldn't even be typos to begin with. Does anybody check these cards before they get shipped out? I think it's hilarious this game is marked for mature players but has typos worse then a child's writing. I love using my first aid sprays to recover "heath"!

Actually, no. I just used them for determining the resource area. But I guess the misprinted cards could be fixed by printing the fixed version, but still using the same cards.

For me the poor overall quality (Typos being just one of them) was exactly what stopped me from further enjoying and playing the game. It just made me think it's not worth the money anymore. Quite natural.

I think Richard Hurtado summed up the boycott thing pretty well. I'll just add that, while I did know there were 2 printing mistakes, I did still buy Nightmare. But...(and this leads to my other point)

I bought Nightmare under the assumption that there would indeed be at least an honest effort to look into getting us replacements. And while it was only said that the issue would be looked into and nothing was actually promised, its been way too long now with zero news (read follow-up..a.k.a. being responsible for your mistakes and their possible solutions) about it since the supposed apology. Again, the same issue with Wesker promo where we were told that he would be more widely distributed, but there was never any follow-up. And that issue has been around almost a year now.

So yes, the epic fail wasn't in getting us replacements, that was just a huge failure and an incredibly silly thing to not do because it would have cost them a bit of money, but would have garnered so much more benefits in customer loyalty. Had they gotten out the reprints to us, I would be singing their praises right now. And not just on these forums. But they don't care enough about customer loyalty. Or they believe that we are stupid cattle that will hopefully forget about issues in a months time.

In any case, the epic fail was the complete lack of communication and follow-through in what they said they were going to do. Was the issue even looked into? Who know except them. But as a customer, I have not received any kind of indication about it being looked into. No, instead I see all these other posts, both in the news section and on these forums, that have nothing to do with the issue. And I didn't even start to get vocal about this until mid to late march just because I wanted to give them the benefit of a doubt about the winter holidays and Feb. is a short month. Looks like I didn't really need to do that. Irresponsible or incompetent. One of those words perfectly describes the way the misprint and Wesker situations were handled. I'll let everyone choose for themselves. EPIC. FAIL.

At this point I don't see how I can come to any conclusion other than that Bandai doesn't care about us, the customers.

okay so a few misprints makes people mad, when yu can easily remember that the text is +20, and yu can tell people its suppose to be +20, no big deal. like yes corrected verisons would be a nice addition in Ex 5 but if not its not a crisis like if thats the only major concern besides the promo wesker which they could throw in with the fixed cards. i feel like this problem can be solved easily but also i feel as if not getting any response other then the May 1st news post is also leading us down a road that there may be no ex 5.

Personally i think the problem is that they want RE 6 to come out so they can get new images for the cards, but it would be more logical if they released a 250-300 expansion in May, demoed it at Gencon and released a 6th expansion after RE 6 is relaesed. i think the issue is that if we are complaining about a few cards & decide to boycott over stupid reasons then yu might as well say yur trying to end RE DBG. Now if yu decide to just roll with it for now i feel as if it would pay off in the end.

Last thing, to who ever this concerns, give us some info on the next expasion even if its like "we havent started yet" so we know that there is hope & this game isnt dead!

No, I think it's exactly the opposite. If we support a decline in quality by buying more, Bandai will think: "Ok, we don't have to put in any more QA, they don't mind a few errors." It would totally induce the opposite. It's obvious from reading here people aren't happy with how the issues were handled and if they don't work for a quality product and customer satisfaction, they don't deserve my (or anyones) money.
Looking at the sets, the QA only got worse with each set, starting with "heath" from the spray in set 1, to "Durning" Jill in 2, I've always wondered if there isn't anybody who actually proofreads over all the cards at least once before they were sent to the printer, but printing a card that doesn't even work as intended as printed isn't a good thing in a board game like this.
With other board games when something like this happens (Fantasy Flight games comes to mind) usually the issue is resolved QUICKLY and replacements send out. Considering the board game business isn't so great, customer satisfaction and repeat customers are all the more important. Not even saying anything about the issue for MONTHS while still posting about other things and outright IGNORING the people is a no-go IMO and therefore makes me think, my money is better off with a company with a better track record.

spelling errors can be easily avoided if they used Microsoft Words or any word processing software that has built-in spell checker..
