    Lone Wolf And RCPD UPDATE

So, here is what I have found out. The card misprints were changed at the printer shortly after the issue was noticed. There is still a chance that you could get the misprint cards in your set, depending on if the set was in the first printing. Also, replacement cards are still being discussed, but there may never be a replacement issued to those with misprints, and if there is a replacement issued, it might just be via league promos. This is all tentative...So stay tuned.

Interesting. I bought my set on the release day, so I'm betting it has the misprints. I hope to get it some time this week to find out.

If that is the case, it is the 2nd time Bandai lied (1st was PR-005 - secondary market price still sucked after 6 months).

Warning to new fans, buy RE: DBG after 3 months Bandai released the current set.

Well, I just went back to re-read what was posted regarding the misprints in the news section. And it did indeed say that the issue was being looked into and that a promo replacement was being discussed. And that's about it. So this news, while disheartening, shouldn't have been completely unexpected.

It's poor business practice if they don't issue the replacement cards (5 RCPD and 5 Lonewolf) to each person who bought Nightmare for free, by shipping them to them. I realize Bandai CG may not be as big of a company as say Days of Wonder or Fantasy Flight, but those companies have been known to handle customer service rather well by issuing reprints or fixed items quite promptly.

In fact, it would be a very smart move to send out the 10 fixed cards plus a new promo card (perhaps PR-005) to all the people who supported the Nightmare release and ended up with the messed up cards.

I personally have left those 2 cards out of a few games I've played with new players because I didn't want them confused when trying to learn the game. New players don't understand everything should be in increments of 10, so when they see +2 ammo it would throw them off.

I would say that his is disheartening news, but considering this isn't actually news, I say we should reserve judgement until we hear something official...which should HOPEFULLY be soon.

I will say though that it would be ridiculous to not try to make things right with Nightmare's early adopters. I pre-ordered 3 sets (for myself and as gifts) and now everyone I know is stuck with the misprints. Considering that this is a card game, there will always be an aspect of "collectibility" (just look at the fuss over the GenCon Wesker promo) and I'm hoping Bandai addresses their error soon. Poor business practices are a huge turnoff and generally make me and others less likely/completely unwilling to offer support in the future...

I wouldn't get too mad at them, guys. It was a mistake, they admitted it, and they said they'd try and do something about it.

It's not like it's been a year or anything; just a few months. They do a good job of eventually delivering what they say they'll deliver and they've always listened to the fan base in the past.

    Cut 'em a little slack!

    THIS!

Also as far as the GenCon Wesker goes I think its going too far to say they were lying. Tylar has made good on every promise he has made from what I have seen. The GenCon Wesker WILL be available, of this I am sure. He never did say when. Im sure it will be out soon so keep your pants on!
And I hate dancing. That is one of my least favorite things to do. Other things that I hate are exercise, work, people, stupid people.

I hope they fix everything in the next expansion set. Though i prefer them to send us a free correct copies, but how do they gonna check every customers who bought the initial misprint set and will be very much troubled for international peep like me.

Since its a promise, lets give them time to get things right.

Ok. First I'd just like to say that as far as online communities go, this one is probably one of the calmest and patient ones I've been involved in. On others, I've seen players cry bloody murder before product release if they find out there is something they feel they don't like or, heaven forbid, seems 'borken'. If there were an actual error made? Well, lock your doors and fireproof your homes... So kudos to all of you for that.

Now, that being said, I feel like 1 full month (after the winter holidays) is more than enough time to get a general plan into place for the replacement cards. Not worked out perfectly yet, fine, but a general idea of what direction the replacement strategy is headed. An update to us, the customers, would go a long way in quelling our worries. I know this will sound like a jerk thing to say, but its their job to have issues like this resolved. This is part of the reason they are employed. I understand that they are busy, but busy isn't an excuse to not get the job done. If I'm swamped at work, and end up spilling toner all over the floor, I still need to stop what I am doing and clean it up, at least to a reasonable degree. I just don't understand what the hold up is. When I call a service provider with a problem and I get put on hold for a long while there is usually the intermittent "sorry for making you hold for so long, we appreciate your patience" from whoever is helping me. In this case, there has only been silence. We are about half way through the waiting period for the next set guys. This should be resolved before that happens.

As for PR-005, well I'm of the belief that exclusives are part of the gaming world. There will always be exclusives that are hard to get and that bending over backwards to accommodate everyone who wants one is going to lead to more problems in the long run. That's not to say that its not a nice gesture, nor am I saying that, if the company so chooses, it shouldn't be done. Just that squeaky wheels tend to remain squeaky no matter how many times you oil them. That said, if PR-005 was promised to be more widely distributed, then going through with that promise is important. Not just keeping the promise, but keeping it in a timely manner. If someone were to promise me they would give me something, then its reasonable to expect it in a timely manner. And again, for something like this (a card game where the cards have, presumably, already been printed) Half a yr is much too long a wait, imo. Again, at least give us the intermittent "thanks for your patience while we work to resolve this issue".
