    CH-001: Albert Wesker

I've been using his second effect multiple times on my turn, on different players, per the " An effect that uses the word "can" in its effect text can only be used once per turn" rule. Some times people will object on the grounds that then it's "too good"

But hey maybe I'm wrong, so can you help?

That is actually very true and makes his ability sound more like an enforced action, something he MUST do every turn. I'd like to hear Tylers take on this.

My reading comprehension is a bit off. Its early...but it sounds like you are taking the "once per turn" to mean "once per turn per opposing player" which is incorrect. I don't have the card in front of me so I am just assuming that the second level ability uses the word "can" If so, on Wesker's turn, he can choose one player (himself included) and use his second level ability. He can't choose to use the ability once per player as that would be using the ability multiple times on the same turn which is strictly prohibited by the fact that "can" in this game means once per turn.

You are correct about that, but it also says pick a player. The way it is written, every turn you pick one and only one player for the effect to target.

Hmm...if it doesn't say can, then the ability would be able to be activated multiple times. The effect of activating the ability is that a single player will gain +1 explore and be forced to explore. Again I don't have the card in front of me and I didn't look for it last night to re-read. But if there is no specific wording in the ability, and there are no prior rulings regarding using it multiple times, then it should be able to be activated multiple times. The singular effect of each activation may just be due to the fact that it can also target Wesker himself which might not be beneficial to him, or there may be a player who is consistently dealing high damage that you don't want to give +1 explore, but two others who haven't quite gotten their deck as streamlined yet who will dread the forced explore.

eems like an Re1 Wesker thing to do since he baited the entire S.T.A.R.S team into exploring the mansion

    Whew. All questions answered.

This also stands as my ending marker for v 1.0 of the Master FAQ.

    Hi, I got a question.

If Green Herb is trashed due to other effects, for example Shattered Memories, can I still benefit from the 20 HP heal from the Green Herb?

    Thank you

No, it doesn't work that way. Green Herb specifically states "You can trash this item...", which means it has to be trashed using its own inherent effect. Trashing it another way (i.e. Shattered Memories, Ominous Battle) doesn't trigger it in the same way that a Merenaries copy of Ammo x10 does, since that card reads "When this card is trashed..."
