He adds infections based on your character's level, not the infection level. So it depends on what abilities you've unlocked and how many decorations you have. He can't increase your infection level by more than three, since all characters (so far) have no more than two levels.

Yes that is correct.
And I hate dancing. That is one of my least favorite things to do. Other things that I hate are exercise, work, people, stupid people.
