Just got my set sleeved up and I'm playing through a test game now just to get a feel for the new cards.
I had a question about the Silver Ghost and Punisher, which you may have answered elsewhere, so forgive me. How does this card work exactly? as I've never seen a weapon card that works like an action.
I'm assuming the card does not take an action to use, but do you play it at the beginning of your turn, or can you choose when to play it?
Let's say I have the following hand:
Toe to Toe
In my inventory I have 3 cards, and in my discard pile, 18 cards.
If I play Toe to Toe right now, it wouldn't have much of an effect. It would give me +1 action, but I'd get no extra cards because I only have 3 in my inventory (it gives me +1 card for every 5 cards in inventory).
Now A Gift? is a strange card which I also don't know what it does. Do I get +2 cards then discard my entire inventory, or do I discard the entire inventory, then get 2 cards? The latter would basically shuffle my entire discard pile into a new inventory pile.
Assuming it's the former, could I do this?
Play Reload to get +2 actions. Play A Gift? to get +2 cards, then discard my entire inventory. Play the Silver Ghost to get +1 card, which lets me shuffle my discard pile into a full inventory. Play Toe to Toe to get +1 card for every 5 cards in my inventory.
If my math is right, I would have 5 + 1 (reload) + 2 (a gift) + 1 (silver ghost) + 3 (toe to toe) = 12 cards in my hand.

Silver Ghost's text should trigger when you use the weapon (so, for example, at the same time a grenade would trigger). So you'd get the extra card and action right before the infected revealed when you explore and use the gun.
With A Gift (and all other cards) you do the icons first, then the effect. So you draw two and then discard.
I think your sequence works fine, provided you have only two cards in your inventory (since you don't reshuffle until you try to draw on an empty inventory so it'll have to empty when you get the card from Silver Ghost). Note that you'll have to explore to get that Silver Ghost card, so you may have a harder time making use of the cards drawn from Toe to Toe unless you have extra explores.
When using WE032 Silver Ghost & WE-033 Punisher with CH-002 Leon S. Kennedy's Level 2 ability, do you draw 2/4 cards respectively?
If that's true, then the effects of Silver Ghost and Punisher don't make any sense.

Both of those guns give +1 action. If you can only use it during your explore phase, then it's not usable...
Oh wait (just read the rulebook to clarify), in the Nightmare rules it says you can perform the steps in the game flow in any order, so actions can be played at any point.
That makes more sense I suppose, but it still seems weird that you would get an extra card when exploring. I guess it could help on multiple explores.
I just looked back to the first rulebook to make sure I wasn't crazy, and it wasn't always like this. Actions used to be the first thing you did, always.
From the Base Set rule book (online version page 9, since I don't have the paper one handy): "The Player may do any of the following 5 motions in any order they wish: [list of Action, Item, Character Effect, Explore, and Buy goes here]".
I checked my local game stores yesterday and noone has the new set. I have always been able to pick up the sets on release day. Was there an initial shortage or delay? I am a bit disapointed--I was hoping everyone came up empty handed. That's clearly not the case.
so, anyone here got the misprints?

Oh weird, my version is different, I guess the online version fixes a lot of the printing issues/typos.
