    HD Re-release

Anybody else jumping back into this? After playing RE5 too much, I forgot how much better of a game RE4 really is. I found myself conserving ammo just like the old days and the Ganados being extra stingy with dropping anything relatable to ammo.

Aw c'mon don't be a hater on RE5. RE5 is a great game and an exciting conclusion. The atmosphere is less engrossing than RE4 but who doesn't love closing the book with fav characters like Chris, Jill, & Wesker with some fun cameos from Barry, etc. RE5 mercs is also WAY superior to RE4.

RE4 is surely great. I wish it had the quick change weapon style of 5 and it would be a dream to play. My favorite aspect was Wii instant aiming which sadly isn't a feature the new port can provide : /
RE4 ammo conservation is not really ever noticeably as annoying as older games COUGH NEMESIS COUGH. Being able to stun the ganados so easily made ammo conservation a breeze. I do love the bottle caps mini game. Sometimes Ashley without a weapon is more competent than Sheva with one hahahaha.

Speaking of RE4, I meant to ask at one point if certain "design themes" are going to be unique on a set to set basis and just curious if you had some insight on that Tylar.

Like will we ever see partner related actions or infected again? Will we ever receive any more infected with the (Las Plagas) keyword to keep Jill (Brainwashed) a little more competitive in Day Killer Mansion scenarios? Will there be cards dealing with the new infection mechanic down the line etc etc etc. Are there ideas to bring recurring mechanics back here and there or will you just keep focusing on newer mechanics?

It was definitely awkward going back to the old style. Sometimes my right hand will start moving the right thumstick around think it turns me, which is irritating since all that does is moves the camera around. Once I got used to it though, I liked it.

I agree that the ammo conservation isn't as bad, but the game had such great atmosphere and really went the distance pulling you into its world. Throughout RE5 I felt like I was just going through the motions, much like Gears or Halo has been feeling. I can't remember the last game that really pulled me in, making me lose track of time and being thoroughly engrossed in the storyline.

In terms of design themes, its in the better interest to currently create mechanics that are new, then move on. When we have enough, we may start to revisit old themes.

RE4 is for sure the "pull you in" breadwinner along with RE1.

Hey I am all for new game mechanics. Glad to hear you may revisit old themes down the line also!

Resident Evil DBG: REmake anyone!? lol kidding kidding... sorta
