I dont like there being cards out that i cant get.![]()
Bandai has already stated, several times, that they will release the 3 GenCon promos to the general public sometime in the future. Much like how the Chris & Jill promos from the first set became available in the BGG online store.
Or currently, you can find them on Ebay around $20 a piece. I'm waiting for the public release.
I guess it's time to think about international players and make this promos avaible for buying, I for example, I just have the promos that I do 'cause I Paid for it on eBay and thanks God that some people have seeling, but this is not for all of them, some cards I don't find (Like Wesker from GenCon) and anothers that people do not send out of US.
I Know that's hard, but making them for sale on BoardGameGeek will helps us a lot
You understand that Wesker hasn't been easy to find becuase there are only like 35 copies of him around. For now, bandai is trying to keep him special to the people who traveled to the first event, and I'm sure they are going to give him out for future events, but I highly doubt they are going to just start selling copies of him online.
I was really frustrated by their release at GenCon. I had to work the convention, but I love this game. When I went to ask, they told me I had to play in a tournament to get the promos. When I told them I was working the event, and would even be willing to pay an entry fee + extra to get them along with a playmat there was for sale, all they would offer me was the LiN Chris, which I already had.
I don't have any stores around me either, so getting the three new ones that just released will also be difficult, in addition to the 3 from GenCon that I still don't have.
The Gencon ones have been released for quite a while, besides the Wesker obviously, and are only about $2 a piece of ebay. No idea why Jim Chapman isn't worth more since there is less of him than George Hamilton. The new three females are slowly hitting ebay and should drop to a similar affordable price soon.
For characters you don't own but still want to experience them just do what I did; just find a high resolution picture, scale it to size, print on the highest setting possible, cut it out, insert into a sleeve with say a spare ammox10, and enjoy. Assuming the sleeves aren't clear in the back this should work really well. I still have and use a proxy of the Gencon Wesker even though I got a real copy recently because I don't have the heart to get it out of the original sealed plastic wrap its in.
Anyone think that e-bay sellers have contact with Bandai?
Edit: Okay, maybe selling one Foil Wesker for USD 10 a week is not that profitable.
Anyway, Tylar had done us a huge favor by sharing high-resolution pictures of GenCon promos. I have to assume that these promos will not be released yet in the near future. Maybe next year Bandai?
