Almost done with my first run on very hard, but on hard I had never beaten it without dying, usually Alexia's second form literally tentacle raped me. Anyway, on very hard, I'm playing through, blowing everything up and shooting dead things; make it to Alexia and blast her face with the handgun. She transforms, I switch to automatic and shotgun, get her below half as soon as I've made it past the tentacles. Hit the zone and kill second form with one hit on me. Make it through the third form after the FAS and boom, GoO 7 Expert for beating without dying.

I'm still scratching my head on this one.

How does Darkside compare to Umbrella from a gameplay perspective? I've look a buying it but the few reviews I found were either all positive or all negative with no middle ground.

Lemme guess. The negatives were the shaky cam, leading to lousy headshot time, too much old RE instead of developing Leon/Krauser, and finally not showing when Krauser met Wesker and got the plagas. Positive was probably great summary of Code Veronica and RE2, unlockables and weapons.

Frankly, the camera isn't nearly that bad for me. You hardly need THAT many headshots for an A or S ranking, plus the rankings stack so you could focus on each aspect until it was S and the whole scenario would count as S. Most unlockables are trash, besides weapons and the occasional file/audio clip. Costumes have no use to me in a first person rail shooter when I play solo. I was miffed about the Krauser slight but got over it because his theme is pimp.

I got mine for 30, which is 10 more than I paid for UC and neither made me feel as though I had overspent. Seriously, go for it.

You pretty much nailed it, and if by hardly ant head shots you mean no more "Alright, I got 60 that mean I have an . . . A rank", then sounds good, thanks.

It's strange, but I've gotten lots of accidental head shots in DC because of the camera. Unlimited ammo means I just fire constantly. Most of the time you need 10 for an A, if that. And the quicker you beat hard the more fun you can have.
