Extreme Battle

So I just plugged in RE2 on my Gamecube again after a LONG absence from it and loaded up the Extreme Battle minigame. I had a little time to kill, so I went through a run on Level 1 with Chris, finishing in an hour and twenty-three minutes. Then I realized my level 2 time I had saved for Claire was 52 minutes and some odd seconds. I wanted to beat that, but I didn't want to play on level 2.

Thus, I restarted level 1 with Claire and blazed through as quickly as I could with reasonably safe hunting on the way, finishing in a little over 44 minutes.

I used to have the game installed on my PC, but I've long since had to install and reinstall my software, so I don't have that game's save files. I'm wanting to think that I had a save file of level 1 Claire in 29-30 minutes, but I don't have the proof of this any more, sadly.

My question to you folks who might still play RE 2's Extreme Battle mode: what are your fastest runs, and with which characters? To me, it seems that Claire has an insane pair of advantages over others in terms of raw power (able to blow away most monsters with one shot or two depending on ammo usage) and inventory management (having fewer weapons/ammo slots to have to manage).

So, what do you folks think?

I have not played Extreme Battle in years, but I think I turn on infinite ammo for fun and blow everything away. I've already beaten everything from it, so testing myself now isn't really something I'm looking to do.
