Yeah that would be it I'm guessing my mejin ( spiritomb * sad face*) explained it wrong if I read right it has a double cost one for activating first text of effect and second part of effect to discard if there is a ninja that meets requirements

I didn't say anything wrong. U activate the effect by paying the cost "and anything else required)

Yeah he is a mejin for the buffalo ny area an messenger ninja he led me to believe when I asked that u have to discard messenger ninja still even if u Didnt show a lightning 1 or lower ninja

you can discard if a turn 1 or lower lightning ninja gets revealed if its one you dont want you can chose not to discard it but you dont need to discard it unless there is a turn 1 or lower lightning ninja revealed by his cost.

If that so we have another problem. At minimal the q+a post needs to be fixed, and then the errata needs to be fixed. Finally some people need to ne fired.

During your Mission Phase, you can reveal the top 6 cards of your Deck. If there are 1 or more Ninja cards with an Entrance cost of 1 or less and a Lightning Symbol, you can discard this Ninja. In that case, put 1 of them in play and return the rest and shuffle your Deck. If not, shuffle the revealed cards into your deck.
heres the errata doesnt change anything i just said

the can here makes it an optional discard that you CAN do if a turn 1 or lower lightning ninja is revealed by his cost not you MUST do.

I'm going to clear this up so we can get back to the mans deck not a fudging q+a this weekend spiritomb made a comment about messenger ninjas errata and made me think he discarded even if u Didnt grab a ninja obviously it was the wrong assumption
