You act as if this is the first time we've gotten reports of NE players and judges, which includes those from MA, doing something like this. At this point, I am insulting you guys. From what was posted in the Q&A, I've come to the conclusion that Dalegna evolves into Spiritomb.

Well, when people see something that could even be slightly vague, they want to take total advantage. Not surprised it's some of the people I see here though.

Let me break this down for you.

Unopposed=Not blocked at all.
Opposed=Blocked ninja.
Battlefield=Battling ninja.
Opposing=One team vs other team.

See how dis works? If you are opposed, one team is battling another. If the effect was meant to target things outside of the team to the front of your own, it would say one of these:

[Valid | EOJ] Give your opponent 2 Battle Rewards: Give 2 damage target opposed Ninja.

Or

[Valid | EOJ] Give your opponent 2 Battle Rewards: Give 2 damage to one of your opponents Ninja's on the Battlefield.

BUT HERE IS THE TEXT:

[Valid | EOJ] Give your opponent 2 Battle Rewards: Give 2 damage to target opposing Ninja.

Just so there is no confusion, he CANNOT target ANYTHING outside of the dudes in front of him.
