Alright, like I said, I'd go Fire/Lightning. For a format such as this, you want to play NvS accordingly. That means, all out rush isn't gonna be the best way to go, mainly because of all the Mission Negation. I'm aware there's Hinata for that, but it just doesn't seem like a good bet.

The build allowed for victory without utilizing NvS. In hindsight, I might turn something, maybe an Ink Fish, into the Turn 2 Obito because Growthing over it into [Hidden Strength] is pretty good. Most of this is self explanatory but if you have any questions, ask.

Can't cut Wager; it's card draw and forced board control rolled into one. Considering I run it in Unlimited too shows how much value I put into the card.

I used to run Dango but it rarely, if ever, worked. It required Naruto to do anything, and assuming you did get both of them, it didn't work early enough to make a difference. Assuming I drop Naruto T1, Dango becomes a T2. That and I don't really use much chakra either, so the standard two from a Mission would work just fine.

Ink Fish would work but I also rarely generate chakra. I understand the point to it since it replaces itself. More of a fan of Shino instead, but in a sense that's just a personal preference because of my affinity for Genin. Fish will, more likely than not, require me to actually play it as a drop since I usually don't generate three chakra until T4, not to mention Exhaustion discarding all of it but itself.

I had a 1-of Hidan for a while but cut him for a 4th, for no real good reason other than I needed a slot and it was the easiest thing to cut. I'm well aware that running one, especially with Naruto, would be a good idea, if I can reasonably find a spot for him again.

Idate isn't worth running IMO because my only Lightning Ninja are Lee and Naruto... well, 4th, but he doesn't count. I have thought about putting Clone back in.

The +4/+4 boost card would be fun, but ehhh... I like Unexpected Attack better since I can mill it off with Naruto, and the Releasing the Seal that was recommended seems a better option too. My "just because I'm me" card is Present from Students, so I think that's enough for now...

Seems we just have completely different ideas on how to approach Naruto vs Sasuke. This is just another weird way that may or may not work, but the six copies of Naruto vs Sasuke and 4th being a mini-NvsS is too good to pass up IMO. Rush early, push with NvsS, then finish with 4th/second NvsS. I usually don't have a problem with them building a board as long as I can attack through with NvsS, hence why The Final Competition Begins is one of my favorite Unlimited cards and often even better than Naruto vs Sasuke.

Some reasoning behind the Genin:
- Hinata isn't necessary but it's something I'm aware of as mentioned before. She's really annoying when she does work, though I am considering going with Sakura instead or abandoning the idea altogether, which would give me one more slot. The T3 is absolutely crucial in some matchups, and there's one more in the sideboard. Often I end up siding Kimono out for it.
- Ino's a 4 power swing in back, but I agree she's not essential but really good if I need to build a big team early.
- Choji's a 4/0, which is rare already, that I can chump away to give a boost to a lot of 3/0s for the 2 BR threshold.
- I've considered going with T4 Gaara [Attack and Defense] but still like how solid this one is at the moment, with consecutive drops of Sasuke/Lee/Gaara being a possible play.
- Without Naruto a lot of the deck falls apart since I need the discard to even consider Sakura's Tears, and I don't see any other Naruto worth considering right now.
- Shino's the only reliable way to discard my own Naruto vs Sasuke from the chakra, and generating bugs helps stall/rush, depending on the game state. Doesn't hurt that he's on-element and good stats for T1.

Yeah, reading your list... your deck seems like a standard Fire/Lightning with NvsS thrown-in, whereas I'm trying to win with Naruto vs Sasuke. Different ways of approaching it. I wouldn't be able to use many of the cards you're running because of what I'm doing.

Deck has 13 Wind, which is borderline for me too. As mentioned, I've considered a third Sakura, Shikamaru's Decision and The Stone Council as options to raise the count, but the question would be what to remove. With you guys so high on Liger Bomb, Paper Bomb becomes the next target.

It's a pretty good one too. We're all looking at in a different way. While there is always a wrong way, here we've got differing ideas of how to approach an archetype, and neither seems wrong. Fire/Lightning is likely the better overall deck, but that's not what I'm trying to build. Actually, if I did go Fire/Lightning, which I did consider, I'd probably run Future Hokage? because I'm weird like that. Or try Kakashi Guy. Maybe.

Considering how much earth is in the deck, I'd consider konohas strongest genin. Even as a one of being that you have the naruto feeding sakuras tears thing going. Also I'd put the tp4 naruto at 2 so you can add a like whirlwind naruto for the option of growthing out of tp naruto. I always hated not having a decent card to growth him with. Plus the naruto clone just seems kinda mandatory too for your reliance on the naruto. Great way to search whichever one was needed atm. Idk, that's just my opinoin.

Yeah, like I said, I have a different play style completely. I'll try to play around with your build, not because it's bad, but because I feel like some cards aren't the best way to go.

Naruto (Clone) is too slow if you're trying to get that other Naruto, who is also a Turn 1. The only way to maybe justify it is with Messenger Ninja, but even then it's risky.

The fact that it is legit discussion scares me. Most "discussion" on this forum devolves into a super duper flame war from every side.

I've seen lots of ways to play NVS. The most common is fire/lightning but I have seen earth splash into it. The fourth is a really nice addition as a second win con. I don't however think you need fourth, sakuras tears, and NVS. I would cut sakuras tears if anything. I'm not sure for what though. Maybe a copy or two of unlocking the seal just to make sure you win some early victories and such.
