Looking for a new start..

So, i've been on break from the game for awhile, (5-6 months or so) and i'm thinking of getting back into it. Can I get some info on the current scenario of the game and what's going on.

In depth I mean:

1. Decks
2. Themes
3. What's really being splashed
4. Block Format Legal Sets and dates
5. Anything else you can think of.

Just bought the Naruto Starter deck for Hero's Ascension but I don't know exactly where to go from here until I get up to date here.
