Question about N1572 and N1511

Hello, my question is if N1511 Itachi Uchiha: dire situation, activates his effect to discard any akatsuki ninja while N1572 Tobi: A Foreboding Feeling, is in your village as well, would you get the akatsuki ninja back to your hand as well as draw 2 cards, or since the ninja you discarded didn't go to the discard pile, you wouldn't draw 2 cards since the condition wasn't fufilled?
