NO, that's not even a swastika you jackass.

As for the chapter itself, I almost fell for it when Hinata jumped out in front of Naruto. Of course Neji had to go and save the day..

I do have some bad news though, from my observation of the chapter. We lost the whole Intelligence Squad last chapter, and then Neji at the end of this chapter. Now, what happened in between? Madara and Obito talking about Obito sacrificing himself to use Rinne Rebirth on Madara. The simple fact that he has access to that Jutsu sets up a chance for Obito turning on Madara, and apparently they aren't on very good terms anyways.

I just feel that it's really dangerous to hint at the possibility of characters being revived in the middle of what is supposed to be a lot of emotional losses. If we are to believe there is foreshadowing that they're all come back, then their deaths have no impact on us, the reader.

my thoughts exactly. when i read that i thought "oh joy, they gathered the dragon balls again. has it been a year already?". and honestly, while the death itself was good (both the intel and neji's) i do wish we had actually seen more of neji before he died. in all of part 2 we've seen very little from most of the old crew. now it feels like they are about to be picked off a little bit before getting to do something, aside from the heroic deaths of course.

if kishi hadn't created the opportunities, thats one thing, but he had created so many oportunities for us to see them all in action and every instance was basically wasted. but, i guess, a good death is better than them sitting there collecting dust i guess, maybe. v_v

The way I see it Naruto pre-timeskip was the ensemble show that gave everyone lots of showtime, whereas Naruto Shippuuden is The Naruto Show (yes, even the Sasuke Shippuuden parts, since Sasuke and Naruto's stories are so interlinked).

The only character to actually get their own "arc" in Shippuuden so far with no Naruto intervention was Sakura (vs. Sasori). Even Hidan & Kakuzu while mostly carried by Team Asuma was in the end won by Naruto's intervention. (the kids beat Nappa but couldn't beat Vegeta huehuehue)

Thumbs down

I quit. Seriously, why does the coolest character in the Naruto universe have to die? As a Hyuga fanboy I'm legit tearing up right now. I would not have minded ONE BIT if a stupid character like Shino, Choji, or Kiba had died instead. I think that's all I can take of this manga now that it's been ruined. What a terrible way to ruin the holidays.

And here I was half expecting Neji to develop more rings in his eyes awaken a Rinnegan. Worst story ever. Boo Kishimoto.
