zbkillaz and delegna lied to me and another person then, or the fact they didn't know.
we tried to kill himself to draw 2, but they said we wouldn't get the effect to draw 2. This was at a chunins btw, so it mattered. |

I've heard accounts of NE judges giving bad rulings. They're not bad judges, they just need to know more about the intricate workings of the game.

I talked with a guy i know, Ever since the ruling of After the battle.
How does Itachi differentiate himself from After the Battle? Does he not check to see if the conditions were met in order to draw 2? |

After the Battle's effect checks to see if you discarded a card, if you did, you draw 3. Itachi's effect checks to see if you discarded a Ninja, if you did, you draw 2. |

Now to further discuss on this.
Did you see the ruling of After the Battle with Revitalize? If you payed a revitalize card for AtB, AtB checks to see if you discarded the card. But since, revitalize is a replacement effect, AtB will not allow you to draw 3. If you apply this to Itachi. If Itachi discarded himself, he was not discarded. He was Removed from game by his own mechanic, which is inherent. Since he checks to see if the ninja was discarded, you would draw 2. However, since inherent removed itachi from play, which is a mandatory replacement effect. You would not draw 2 correct? |

After "logic-ing" this out, I've come to the conclusion that you are indeed correct. I was not taking into account Inherit and took it as how Shino'sDad had explained it. This is not the first time I've been lied to by the father of an insect tamer.

As we have mentioned before, we here at Mull to Four don't actually read the cards, we assumed that since most of the player base is Yugioh players, that we get to make up what our cards do.
On a serious note, you're actually correct. When I was writing the article, I thought that Itachi said ' 0: Discard a Ninja. Then, draw 2 cards.' in which case, he would be able to discard himself, as the drawing of the 2 cards didn't have a mandatory link to the discard of the Ninja. Nice catch, I'll edit it. Prior to this, MJM was under the same assumption, because I'm a cheater and wanted to draw 9 cards in a single turn. ![]() |

Mull to Four promotes illiteracy. We are the spokesmen of the 14% percent.
