Post-27, Pre-Meta GenJItsu (Fi/Wi/Li/Void)
Disclaimer: Semi-Tested, (Always) Mother-Approved
The deck started as a Puppet/JI, but then I thought Genjutsu would be crazy on turn 1-3 so I then focused construction on that. I still think a few cards, which I will mark with a "*" are interchangeable for what my goal for the deck is. I'll start with the backbone. First, The main cards of the deck are: Woah, what? Two t0 crappy stated ninjas? Yep ... I know, I thought about the risks and then I thought about the consequences: BR let-up. That and lack of chakra generation. But, this brings in the next set of cards needed for the deck. Cards with draw power! At times, this could put the opponent at 8-9 BR's. Ai-yi-yi ... So, Genjutsu goes off by turn 3, what's the next step? The next cards are clean up for rest of game. In the end, purpose of the deck is to Genjutsu early, clean up with Baki, and keep opponent's hand empty with Deva Promo. Down to the nitty gritty: 3 Kono Reprint (-1 jonin or higher rank) 3 Pakkun (-2 kakashi) 3 Messenger Ninja (higher chance to pull mono, pakkun, or draw from ink fish) *3 Ink Fish (draw) *3 Naraka (negation, stall) *2 Anko Wa/Li (draw) *1 Tobi (search for any card) 3 Kakashi s27 (genjutsu, anti-block from non-genjutsu) 3 Baki (discard op ninjas) *2 Itachi (draw, genjutsu) *2 Deva Promo (keep op hand low) 3 JI (early jonins) 3 Awakening (draw from BR) 3 Guidance (draw and Awakening feed) 2 Warhawk (draw and Awakening feed) *2 The Sand Council (PiP shenanigans) 3 Genjutsu (chakra op hand, battle for op loss) *1 Narrow Dodge (jutsu negate) *2 Finger Flick (jutsu negate) 3 Takamaru (consistency, chakra) It's definitely undertested, but I focused on the goals: Genjutsu early to clear their hand and cripple their field, Baki to deplete their field, Deva to deplete the hand. Everything else is to concentrate on that goal. Thoughts? Flames? Suggestions? (Oh, and this was prior to Snake Eyes Kabuto, so that's why he's not included in the mix. Have I thought about alternatives since his preview? Ohhh yeah ...) |

I don't see you making 9 chakra by turn 2-3 that just sounds ridiculas and if they can block Kakashi (hanare, obito) and respond to genjutsu then your screwed. All of your 0 drops are severely under stated and even though they do get Kakashi out sooner, useing hand swap as a search engine isn't going to get him in hand very often especially when most of your ninjas are 3 ofs. This is a good idea but it's not very plausible.

I do realize its faults, but I'm hoping to fine-tune it until I get bored or find another idea. Yah, I like that idea, too. I made the deck prior to his preview as well. I just wanted to stick with what I made and test that way. Printing a whole proxy deck takes time lol ... |

Yes, enough to motivate me to test more; I usually scrap the idea altogether if I get steamrolled, but with some wins under its belt I hold onto its concept. Anyway, it's far from a final draft as I have yet to test it against other current/future meta-decks. Plus, this was prior to Snake Eyes and Sasuke Mill Jutsu.
No bravado, though; I'm stoked with the concept and hopeful with its first few games, but I have definite skepticism about the deck. |

That really surprises me. Mind keeping me up to date with how it dose in playtesting? It might not seem like it through my pervious post, but I do want to see this deck work.

The only problem with that is that you ideally want to drop kakashi on turn 5 to swing through for free and play genjutsu uncontested rather than drop the itachi.
