The first post was a subpar deck, so was the second. So far nothing of interest has been posted, so people will complain/criticize. Even Mt4's troll post was relevant. SP needs relevance. Without that, it's just two people saying "I like this! I like that!" without giving any sort of reason why.
What you're saying is true. I'm not saying people should pretend to love every word they type, but instead of saying "OMG THIS IS SO BAD" they should really try to help WoP and OC out. What did they miss? What could they have done better? Yes, Mt4 is doing a GREAT job and I've found every article they've put out interesting, but that's no reason to hate on their little cousin for trying to start something they're obviously trying to do their best on because the standards have been raised. You're correct in that someone needs to tell them to put out better content, but they should avoid doing so in such a demoralizing fashion.

People have. It's not like EVERYONE is bashing them. They have been told how to make it better.

This is true, not everyone is at fault.
As far as the whole cashing in thing is concerned (I forget who said that, too tired to look back) the whole point is just to try and promote the game a little more and create more interest at least amongst the current player group. I know a lot of people are getting bored, and the previews not being on here anymore certainly doesn't help most of us forum goers. Rockleeac puts up long you tube videos every time he attends an event and I appreciate it, even if I dont watch the whole thing, I still like his effort. Just like I haven't particularly liked MJM in the past, I really like what he's doing on MulltoFour. I personally haven't gotten much out of their articles because I already know the rulings and would never run DTP deck, but it was still something about the game, and thats something I can get behind. Even if the majority of the comments we've received thus far have been mostly negative, it shows that people are reading and care, and that's a good thing.

Sorry for the length.

I get you, trust me I do. I tried a blog before. I'm trying to restart it, but it'll be a little while. THe problem is, SP DOESN'T do anything to help players yet. It's "Look at my deck!" "Look at THIS deck!" and "Listen to MY opinion!" so far. I want it to do better, because it's from people that AREN'T pros. A new point of view. But you HAVE to go BIGGER. Don't post YOUR deck, then let it hang. Post your deck, then put how one could IMPROVE it. It's not big enough yet, because it's not trying hard enough.

Suggestion. Post a deck list on Dojo. Then pick the best remake you see. Put both version on the blog, compare and contrast for the crowd.

Well I did it and I agree it was a stupid idea however the type of ban I received from the beginning was even worst. Since you are one of the most savy players around here you should know of a handful of people who also would have gotten banned as well or worst. Not to mention that the guy who was directly involved in my case got a slap on the risk while I was being put away.

A blog that is meant to give advice should always give the BEST advice there is. This is a fact. Even if that advice goes against your views, beliefs, or in this case playstyle. Thus, you either give the best advice, or you don't post. There, how's that?

99% of (good) players will tell you in a perm earth deck, you should go the DTP style. Otherwise the deck gets roflstomped by the aggro meta of Fire/Lightning decks and NVS (you know, those decks topping all the tournaments right now. Oh riiiight, you haven't been to any recently. )
You don't believe me? Try out that deck on Scoop Phase against any Rush build. Or hell, against any well built deck. For true lulz, go buy a couple starters and see what happens. I'm wiling to bet it loses at least 70% of the time. If you don't believe me on the DTP style being better, try MJM's build on Mull to Four VS. this deck, and see which strategy for perma earth comes out on top.

I never said anything hateful about these guys. Oddly enough i'm one of the 3 or 4 that didn't, yet you call me out?
The only good deck you could build is 50 "George Washington"s
1st of all you were calling their decks terrible and harshly critiqued them. Also as far as your last comment go to one of sauls events and play me. To make things interesting we could put some Benjamin's on the line and let's see who will be cashing out?

yay, i get a shout out from OC_Powers (like.comment.subscribe)

and yes, i don't think they were trying to cash in on the idea lol there are people out there who genuinely want
to help the community and by putting blogs and videos out there is doing more than anyone else who just sits
there and pokes fun. at least they're trying to improve through social media, getting both beginners and experienced
players into the discussion.

i think ocpowers got some good criticism about SHOW us this, SHOW us how to improve on that. cut some slack,
they do better jobs than those who really say comments like "if you don't play this you should quit naruto."

i think its a starting point for a lot of us. i think if we keep this trend up, we'll get some good support from everyone,
and that in part will help the community stay strong. whether supportive comments from anthony or constructive
criticism from tyler, any help is better than no help.
