Mtl SJC in Canada, Bandai?
Ok, I saw that only 23 people attended at the last SJC. I was wondering why we still don't have our SJC here in Montréal, Québec, Canada.
First thing, we have more than 20 people attending at every Chunins at the Carta Magica store in Montréal. Then, if we count players from Toronto, Drummondville and Québec cities (as well as anywhere else in Canada), and even some friends that I could convince to come for this unique tournament if other players or I would lend them decks, we could easily have over 40 people. And Americans are welcome to pay us a visit too, to show us what they've got. You know, we have pretty good players other than Kevin Perron and Jason Malenfant. Not every players speak english, but it's not a problem big enough to prevent us from having our SJC. Well, it's not even a problem at all, since it doesn't take much effort to understand what the other player is doing. Also, the Meijin would speak both french and english and could translate, if players really need help. The Meijin would also make sure that players who speak french don't cheat by speaking to other people playing, knowing that Americans can't understand french, you know. So please explain to me Bandai why is it so difficult to give us our official SJC tournament once a year. I want clear and detailed explanations, because this is making me really mad... Thanks. I think it would be perfectly fine and fair. And most people don't really talk during the game anyways. Unless they argue a point its all just moving cards.

I cant agree with you more. We have both a really good and active community in Montreal. I can definitively see a SJC doing well here. In any case, its worth a try!

As a player from Ontario in Canada, I would definitely make the trip for an sjc, as would many others over here.

We have two incredibly different play styles.

Not me! I love talking in both english and broken french!
Every video I watch though... They kinda just pick the card up and shove it towards their opponent |

I think that that would be an incredible idea. Just as Vacdeil said, there are always tons of people always welcome to come. Also, the language situation has never really been a problem. A lot of the players (myself actually) are biligual, so translating and understanding eachother should be simple.
Eh, if you play the card game, it implies that you should at least know enough english to understand the cards, and other than that, basic turns and jutsu chains are very simple to depict with hand motions. Please bring a SJC to montreal, theyll be a lot of people, there wont be any problems, and well all have a lot of fun ![]() |

These posts need to meet each other. Glad to know this is turning out to be more of the exception than the norm though.
