u all make good points but idk still. i told my friend that i want to keep playing and make decks so if i find other people that will be interested in playing i would let them borrow them but im from a place where they only play YGO and that sucks and i played YGO long before i started playing naruto and i wont, not even in a million years, play YGO again cuz is too expensive. i guess if i convince my friend so we could go to the other local cuz he is the one with the car not me.

Keep it up dude. A lot of players in my community quit the game too. I'm always trying to bring in new people. The thing that sucks is that the majority of people left in my community that play this game are rich people who have like three of each super. It's hard to convince people to play a game when they stand no chance against someone like that. But dont give up dude.

see, that's your convincing point right there! YGO is way too expensive and the top decks are broke/hella money! at least Naruto you have a fair shot at making a decent deck on an affordable budget, while coming into a meta that has the most diverse decks in years..its becoming a balanced time to play when all elements are getting boosts.

plus, like i said, get the people who watch naruto -- it'll be worth it. worked at my local and just had to give a little push

One of the problems I have noticed in my area is that naruto cards are rarely available for purchase at any of the local stores that sell them. All of the targets in the area only have naruto cards for two weeks after they arive, then all of the cards are gone. Other ccg's and tcg's like yugioh and Pokemon have multiple rows of cards that rarely sell out. In addition, they feature two or three different sets of cards at once, so there are always cards for people to buy. Many people that shop for cards have never heard of naruto cards because they have never seen them in stock. If naruto cards were more widely available, then more people would take up the game.

If I quit this game, it would be the moment I decided to quit card games all together, defiantly not for any other game.
TRUTH. And strangely enough my views as well

I don't want to hear that. People spend any amount of money just to have a good time. Do you know how many hundreds of dollars cosplayers spend that tey will NEVER make back? I've seen a woman spend 800 dollars on their costume, 300 dollars on a 3 day con, and then transportation/hotel fees. And thats not mentioning the merchandise you buy while there. What about Warmachine/Warhammer players? They don't sell their stuff ever unless they perma quit. But they will travel any distance to play. Even people still playing VS System. They travel to Gencon every year just to play a dead card game. A card game nobody prints anymore. And I'm pretty sure that the same can be said of Legend of the Five Rings.

If you have the funds (And sometimes even if you don't) then you will do anything to have fun. Whether you "make your money back" or not.

It's hard to get people back into the game when the game is currently bad. I'm still kinda playing it and I still have friends that get cases and play. But even all those players agree that the game is bad right now. I'm hoping the new starters will bring some life back into it. Right now none of the themes are fun, we're being force fed deck types, and we still get confusing rulings that no one understands.

The only saving grace I see is that they're going back to Naruto vs Pain which, IMO, was the best part of the series. I think most agree that after that fight the series just got bad. I'm hoping this will remind players of the better days when this game was at it's best. Hopefully, we'll see some better innovation card design wise to let us be more creative with deck building instead of just here's what you get now use it.

Are you still having fun playing with just you and your friend? Cause that is the only reason that I can see to continue playing. If you are having fun, then keep playing. If you aren't, then stop playing.

The amount of money that you put into the game before shouldn't even factor in. If you aren't having fun, then why would you keep investing money in the game? Just quit. You've already gotten your monetary value out of the game anyway. Just think of all the hours of fun that you've had. Spending money on cards is just like spending money on watching a movie. They are both forms of entertainment. At least you get something tangible from cards, though. If you are having fun, then what does it matter if there is only one other person. Maybe you can just enjoy collecting the cards or maybe you can travel once a month to the tournament that is ****her away.

In the end, it should all come down to the question of whether you are still having fun or not.
