M897 & J899

While is in play, if I play and it resolves, since M897 replaces the 1 Damage given to the Ninja for 2 Damage, will I get J899's full effect? Because even if M897 boosts the Damage dealt, it's still the Jutsu's effect that discards the Ninja, right?

Yes you would get the full effect of j899.
