Naruto and Europe
Hello all Naruto ccg fans,
Here in Europe we also play Naruto Ccg but we have a few problems. First of all it is difficult to get the cards here because they are only sold in the U.S. and shipment cost are really high. The second problem that we have is that there are no tournaments whatsoever because the product isn't allowed to be sold in Europe, something with bandai not owning the rights and stuff. We, the players of the Netherlands, think this is really dissapointing also for you guys out there in the U.S. because we don't have the possibility to play the ccg with each other. It would be real fun if it would be able to get it also here in Europe and to organize some tournaments because we really think that there are many candidate players out here wat would make the forum and the game much bigger, c.q. more fun. I hope to hear what the toughts are that you have after reading this. With kind regards, Galwayx Land of Iron |

Cool story bro. I agree with you in full about this. However, we've already contacted Bandai about this, but they won't. I know they want to, but first off, it would be a hige financial risk, second: they need expensive licenses and/or licence a European company to manufacture and distribute the cards. Maybe I'm just talking crap, but that's how I see it. Also, the ccg is losing popularity in the US, judging by the limited communities, very limited social media presence (which would be essential) and whatsoever. Still sucks monkey balls.. |

principles: -product
-price -promotion -place First is then the product, well i don't have to talk about that. The most people know naruto, from manga or anime. Second is the price well that for the us is not that expencive. Only for the guys in europe is not that cheap because of the shipping cost and the import duties that we have to pay. Third is promotion, well over here naruto gets more attention than a couple of years ago. But many more people i heard wanna play it but can't because there is no store that sells it. And for the most of them is to expensive to order online. So they give up and just keeping it with the anime and/or manga. Fourth is place. Well we can discusse this but some giant store that sell is no option because then there are people who can't get there. So you talk about local shops, but then bandai don't wants to distrubte because of the right? Well why doesn't bandai open a main facility in europe and distrubute it from there ? Then all rights are still from bandai and they can have full controll over it? Maybe i'm just a smartass now i don't know but that is how i see it! |

it would be considered a risk, because if they opened a brand new facility in an area where they have no pre-existing market. they stand a good chance if the product doesn't take of almost instantly that they will take a huge downfall in profits, possibly leading to the end of this game.

Well we don't need a new facility, it would be great tough, but we just want to be able to get it here also. And something we really would like is playing tournaments wich are legal and can count on price support.

But what is the problem if bandai just sending a trail packs to some local stores if they ask for it. If it hits then you can look forward. But bandai just says no to every shop because they are the one and only copyright? Then in my eyes they won't wanna expand to europe and they only want exclusive shops only in de US! Then if naruto ccg is dying in de US then the game is almost dead because they don't wanna expand worldwide. Alot of people wanna play this but they don't because they can't buy it in europe
