New printing company with set 26 has terrible SR distrubution
Yesterday, me and my group opened a total of 8 boxes and noticed something very strange in it. 3 of the boxes had the exact same supers in it. Two other ones had the same supers, and two more had identical supers. Only one box was unique.
So, based on what we saw, it seems there are four potential boxes: Box 1 Turn of Phrase The Strongest Genin Susano'o (Sasuke) Kakashi Hatake and Might Guy We got this box 3 times. Box 2 Madara Uchiha Izanagi Spontaneous Tree Summoning A Rival's Challenge We got this box twice. Box 3 The Sixth Hokage Reverse Tetragram Sealing Jutsu Sakura's Confession Izanagi We got this box twice, but one had an extra super rare in it, The First Hokage. Box 4 No supers. 24 foils, 24 rares. We got this box once, but I only assume it wasn't the only one out there. So based on the first super rare you pull from your box (at least in our cases), you should know what the remaining three are. |

"Opens 6 boxes, uses the data to say all boxes are like that."
Anyone who has taken a Statistics class (or really any class that involves recording data) would tell you that's no good. It's the difference between 4 out of 5 dentists recommend this and 4000 out of 5000 dentists do. It's the same ratio, but one just is more accurate. |

i'm with the guy who claims he took a stat course. You have a sample size per group of 2. You couldn't even run an anova on that. I've spent half the day trying to figure out how much i could push those assumptions -_-. But moving away from stats.
Lets say you have a 16 sided dice. You roll it in groups of 4, record the rolls, and do this 8 times (e.g., one "group" is four rolls). You happen to notice that your 8 trials could in truth be grouped into 4 groups with a frequency of 2! Your conclusion? OMG, RIGGED DICE!!!! I KNOW WHAT'S GOING TO BE IN THE GROUP BASED ON THE FIRST TWO ROLES!!!! QED. I'm not saying that those aren't the trends or that, as the thread title hints at, the actual "SR distribution" and not "randomness" is bad; so ppl r complaining they got gypped of a sr. If it's never happened to you before, don't worry. I'm still dubious of any of the distribution nonsense. If you've never been gypped, I am sure you will have the wonderful experience at some point in your lifetime of opening box's and crying foul. Just remember i told you so when you also open that pack of all sr's that make you want to jump up and down, even though the guy next to you just pulled a box with nothing in it. also, for those who don't kno, an anova is the stat test you'd run to see if they were actually statistically different. If one were to do this, you'd likely find out that there are some common trends (sr x is much more likely to be with sr y), but not to the extent you guys are proposing.
