Anyway, we figure out a little bit more of the back story here. Obito somehow managed to "slip out" of the boulder, so hinting at the old "used his Sharingan to warp half of his body unknowingly" theory. Strange, considering he still only has two dots...

Madara, the real one, is with all the Zetsu bodies, meaning Zetsu has been around a long time too. Cool.

Missing his right eye? Hmm...wonder what that could mean?

Obito IS fused with Harashima body. But we already knew that...

And Madara twisted his plan to sound convincing to Obito, maybe. A world of love sounds good to the Genin, but with that plan, is it really love?

ITC: Kishimot taunts and mocks us by reminding us Obito was essentially Naruto incarnate, yet still ends up becoming a total A-hole in the end.

Confirmed that Zetsu is what kept Obito alive

Madara is the apparently actual protaganist.

Also something just occurred to me: With Obito as tobi, it means Kakashi and Naruto are on a similar path. Kakashi will want to save and return Obito to the village much like Naruto with Sasuke. Just one is being evil for power and one is doing it for "peace"

Neat stuff learned from this chapter,

-Obito's arm isn't missing, just tightly bound to his side in a half body cast

Nothing important, since Madara explained that he pretty much stuck half of a Hashirama clone to Obito's body, which explains the staples and such. It's probably taking time to integrate into his body which is why he has to keep it so tightly bandaged and bound.

- Madara picked up an extra Sharingan somewhere in order to be able to see after giving up his eyes to Nagato.

Now, this leads me to believe something interesting. We know from Danzo and Kakashi that implanted eyes stay activated at all times, hence why the aforementioned characters always cover their's. This means that when Nagato was given the Rinnegan by Madara, they would have been active and going from the start, and wouldn't have just "awakened" like they did.

I believe that his home was never actually "attacked" by Konoha Ninjas, but rather that it was an elaborate genjutsu done by Madara in order to transfer his eyes into Nagato. Madara knew that as an Uzumaki, Nagato could handle the eyes, as Uzumaki naturally have a lot of stamina and chakra, but that his parents would know something was up, so Madara had to kill them. This set into motion the meeting of the three Rain orphans, and what would eventually become the foundation of Akatsuki. He left the rest to Obito as he died shortly there after. The problem is that the timeline is really shaky when it comes to piecing together the events that occurred along the way, but that's an entirely different discussion.

What was never explained though and still needs to be is how extra Rinnegan can be spawned into the "Path" bodies that both Nagato and Obito used to distribute their Six Paths abilities into. Did they ever show their eyes revert back to normal after they are disconnected from the chakra rods?

-White Zetsu was still forming when Obito was picked up by Madara.

This is not super important, but it lends some interesting background to the characters. This essentially means that Zetsu is/was currently around 18 years old at the max, maybe 19. This means that Obito essentially grew up with him during all this time, lending to their close relationship that we've seen throughout the series, joking with each other and nitpicking back and forth, even after Obito sheds his Tobi persona (Which is pretty much how I would have imagined a happy older Obito to act anyways), and adopted his 'Madara' persona in order to begin moving forward with his plan. I wonder though who or what Black Zetsu is, and how he fits into all of this, still.

When one of the zetsu parts were forming it had a shape similar to tobis first mask lol.

If there are no exits, how did madara get in bum bum buuuuum.

Well, Obito DID ask Madara if he needed his lower area taken care of, to which Madara replied with "Maybe."...

he never said who he gave them to. There has been a theory floating around that Madara gave his eyes to Izuna, and not the other way around. could be that. who knows. point is, madara didn't say. plus, tobi is the one who said he gave negato the eyes iirc.
