Declare your target. X is now equal to the target's Entrance cost.
Pay the cost. (which is X times 2).
Effect goes on the chain.
If the effect successfully resolves, you deal 2 damage to the target.

Example.
You activate your n1184, targeting your opponent's n1184. X=5. You pay the cost of 10 chakra (5x2=10).
