What if? (Mechanics Missions)
Another fun game just to pass time on the forums till Gencon
Let's pretend there are missions next set that will give the new mechanics to cards without them. Here's an example: "Will of the Leaf" Fire EC2: HC:1 Target: 1 of your ninjas Efect: Attach this card to the target. While attached, the target gains "Inherit" For Burst, just change the mission to be bursts effect (Flip the top card of your deck. In that case, the Target gets +x/+x while that card is face up. X = the EC) Now, imagining one for each element's mechanic and assuming they all work roughly the same (IE they are all T2, all have HC, and all attach except Burst) Which one do you think would be the best? which one the worst? My opinion: Desperation or Inherit would be craziest. Burst would basically just be a pump that can be booked or ordered away, so it's not as good in this hypothetical. Discuss. Also feel free to name the cards if you want. |

Don't "Inherit" and missions not mesh? Wasn't that cleared up with that new super mission? It'd be awesome if they did, though.

"Springtime of Youth"
Lighting EC:1 HC:1 Permanent Effect: All "Taijutsu" Ninja Cards in your hand without burst gain burst. Effect: When you deploy a Ninja With burst you can draw 1, in that case put one card from your hand on top of your deck. Edit: mind blanked out for a sec when typing. "Kicking Back" Earth EC:2 HC:1 Effect: All Your Cards Gain Revitalize untill the end of the turn, then discard the top 3 cards of your deck if you discarded 2 or more non ninja cards with revitalize due to this effect draw 2. "Life or Death Struggle" Water EC:3 HC:1 Target: 2 Ninjas Effect: The Target Gains Desperation and the following effect text during this turn, [EOJ]1 Reduce the damage this ninja would recive by 1 if this effect is used twice in the same turn injure 1 ninja opposing this ninja. (not sure about this one but trying for all of them here) "Bloodline" Fire EC:2 HC:1 Permanent Effect: "Fire" Ninjas and Ninja Cards you control without inherit gain Inherit" [Attacker| Mission] 3: when a ninja with "Inherit" Is Removed from play during this turn you can move up to 2 of your cards that are removed from the game to your discard pile. "Poof!" Wind EC:1 HC:1 Permanent [Attacker|Mission]1: All your "Wind" Ninjas without Flashpoint Gain Flashpoint. Effect: If You remove 3 or more ninjas due to the effect of flashpoint you can search your deck for 1 ninja card with a combined entrance cost less then that of the removed ninjas and move it to your hand. "The Fourth Great Ninja War" EC:5 HC:1 Void Permanent Effect: All of your "Fire" Ninjas and Ninja Cards without Inherit Gain Inherit. Effect: All of Your "Earth" Ninjas and Ninja Cards without Revatalize Gain Revatalize. Effect: All of your "Wind" Ninjas without Flashpoint Gain Flashpoint. Effect: All of your "Water" Ninjas without Desperation Gain Desperation. Effect: All of your "Lighting" Ninjas and Ninja Cards without Burst Gain Burst. I like this idea. Remember the mission Ambush? I like the idea of giving kakasi sasuke squad s24 sm naruto's effect with inherit. Or the mission could be "this turn and next turn, target ninja gains inherit. Also, when the target ninja would be removed from play the ninja targeted by 'inherit' also gains 'inherit' "
But maybe that would be too good? Idk. |
