The 6th Hokage's "Izanagi"?

This probably goes under ruling questions, but I didn't think that they could answer questions on a set that has yet to be released. My scenario is this: The 6th Hokage (N1513) uses Taking a Hostage (J954) and targets an opposing Ninja. After that chain resolves, I activate N1513's effect and standby that target. Is the target still considered to be a target of Taking a Hostage or did I lose my target the moment it was standby'ed? If so, this shoots everyone's theory about Izanagi

This awesome combo works.

Why shoots this everybodys theory about izanagi? I don´t understand. Can you explain it to me a second time. :-) What do I learn about Izanagi out of this combo?

I'm not sure how this affects Izanagi at all but HOLY snaps man, way to find one of the coolest combos of the set!

Most people were saying how Izanagi was a Jutsu that was just going to keep Danzo in play. However, it would be redundant if such a combo now exists. I didn't even realize it until I reread Taking a Hostage this morning. Still, I just figure that means Izanagi will do something else entirely.

Hmmm good point. From the way Tylar sounded above though I don't know if he even thought of this combo.
I'm not really sure how Izanagi will play out. I mean, I would design it like some kind of "do over" button where if the user was defeated, at the end of the turn you get an extra one. Or am I forgetting what Izanagi did in the first place (This arc feels like forever ago)

Izanagi is technically, one final save for the cost of one sharingan eye.

theory 1: return the ninja in play, this ninja is not considered to have "sharingan eye"

theory 2: they bring back "sharingan eye coins" lol

Actual theory: if its a jutsu, it will have "expert:danzo" XD

You my friend are a genius. You are the reason why cards reach the rogue list and possibly banned. I tip my hat to you because that's how a pro makes combos.

my group has been talking about this combo and others w/ taking the hostage. now that EVERYBODY sees it, its not gonna be a surprise and a possible rogue. just like lightning armor and puppet jutsu. oh well, time to find a solution to the problem rather than running the problem.
