You do realize that that is Shikamaru's effect, and not the effect of Revitalize, don't you?

yes its shikamaru's effect but the ninja on the bottom has to have revitalise for you to draw it an place it in your hand so chances are your discarding three instead

That awesome moment when costs that discard from hand are now actually "place on bottom of deck" I also agree with first post. Mill is now 100% officially dead. It was nice knowing ya Mill decks. RIP 2008-2012

Anywho, I now agree with the post in the Burst thread. This mechanic is my favorite one by far and one of the best power-wise. Plus, Dat shika is epic.

Revitalize, as a mechanic and effect by itself, is this: When a card with revitalize would be moved to the discard, place it on the bottom instead. That's it. It works on its own all the time no matter what.

Shikamaru has the effect of revealing the bottom card, and if it has revitalize, add it to hand, otherwise mill 3. They are independent effects that work off each other, but are not connected.

gotcha, I can see the potential of 'revitalise' now that you broke it down...(P.S. forget the comment I made under 'flashpoint' about you, just try to up the humor a knoch)

Little late, I already replied. Besides, serious or not, insults don't get to me. Growing up like I did, you gain pretty thick skin and s*yayt like that bounces off me pretty easily.

but with the mission shake hands i thought that the cards go to the discard and then go removed form play?

"Each time a card is discarded to the discard Pile, it is fremoved from the game instead"
In other words, replacement effect, the cards never hit the discard so revitalize never activates.
