the technique has no real requirements from what we've seen, though a willing host potentially lasts "forever" (by that i mean till the body ages to death) while an unwilling one can reject you like the one oro picked after hiruzen sealed his arms up. oro liked sasuke and itachi as candidates because: 1) good bodies because of their incredible potential and natural ability 2) he was a jutsu collector and what better way to collect jutsu than to use sharingan to copy every jutsu ever. its, unfortunately, probably just an obito who is very sour towards life for some reason. no body switching involved. I wish it was different, and i still have hope. but the more time that goes by the more likely it really does seem like its simply obito. heck i almost wish it was something else even if it was something dumber just so it wouldn't be an evil obito. I'd almost take an evil naruto from the future. almost. |

Why not? 1.) We SAW him get killed. Well that's a really compelling argument. So why do I say it? 1.) He's the right age. Obito was dead by the time the 9-tails was released. Even if he were still alive, he'd be Kakashi's age and therefore too young. We can only assume Fugaku's age, but since people are apparently impervious to age in the ninja universe, then we can assume he's still in his ninja prime and probably in his ninja 40s or 50s. 2.) Fugaku and Mikoto weren't home on the night of the attack. Remember how Itachi stated, "What a strange night for Mother and Father to be out"? Neither of them were in the house, but Tobi surely can't be two people. Mikoto, the 3rd, the 3rd's wife, and the ANBU guards were there only ones who knew about Kushina leaving the village. Mikoto runs home, tells Fugaku, and boom he's out on the offense and she's getting intel. 3.) He was the head of police. Why's that matter? It means that, even among the Uchiha, he was either wise or strong. We know he had good knowledge of the secret techniques, otherwise he wouldn't have been able to teach Sasuke the Katon: Gōkakyū no Jutsu. He also told Sasuke that the Mangekyō Sharingan required great sacrifice. He was somewhat impressed by Sasuke's mastery of K:GnJ, though he wasn't open about it. He trained Itachi often, which could be the reason Itachi's skills are so vast. He was, apparently, so powerful that the Leaf council even gave him partial blame for the release of the Fox. Who knows if he knew Izanagi? If he did, then Itachi murdering him means NOTHING. 4.) He was anti-Konoha. He wanted to lead the coup d'etat. This should be the biggest evidence of his being Tobi. He wanted to use Itachi, he was using the Leaf police force, and he was rooting for the rise of the Itachi. He became angry with Itachi after Itachi skipped an "important clan meeting". 5.) He cared about Sasuke. He even asked Itachi, on his deathbed, to watch over Sasuke. Tobi directly watches over Sasuke, and managed Sasuke after Itachi's death. Tobi pressed Sasuke to not follow in Itachi's footsteps, much like Fugaku did. |

Additionally, we've seen his Sharingan Eye stockpile as well, when he tried to salvage Shusui's eye from Danzo's corpse. Pretty much, those probably weren't even Tobi's original eyes, Sharingan or not, that he has had anyways. So, the whole "One Eyed Uchiha" thing doesn't work in this case. |
