J-936 Lightning Style: Emotion Wave

I figure I should've posted this under Q and A, but I wanted some clarification on this errata (or even how this card is supposed to work). Initially, when I read it, it made it sound like I had to pay one lightning chakra and do a damage with it before I could even do damage with a water chakra. My only question is can I run this in straight water or does it need the splash of lightning?

You need at least one lightning to pay to do any damage with this jutsu. But there are plenty of cards that are both lightning and water (monster research, emotion wave itself, anko, chidori lance lol) so this card CAN be run in mono water so long as you have some of these dual element cards in your deck.

Also, as the clarification errata has pointed out, the card gains effects by the symbol(s) ON the chakra, not by the chakra itself.
In other words, it is completely legit to get the 2 damage to 3 ninjas by simply paying 2 L/W cards (It's a good thing no L/W cards are heavily playable,
