the problem being naruto wouldnt die. the whole flashback showing how the 9 tails attack 16 years ago went down ind etail was just to show uzumaki, can survive having a tailed beast pulled out of them. she was weak. she very well may have had a shortened life span (maybe). but she was alive and we had nor eal reason to believe her life was in danger beyond the fact that everyone else auto dies when that happens.

tl;dr he wont die from the extraction literally because he is UZUMAKI naruto.

Oh of course you would brag on your wife's clan like they're 5 different flavors of awesome. Cool forum name aside, you've got a good point. I was going back looking at different gaiden trying to see what I can glean and I saw that and one other nugget that might be foreshadowing.
