Old player trying to get back in, Is set 25 a good set ?

I like themes but I AM a competitive person, I don't agree that block is the better format but I can understand the reasons behind it and when I asked about the themes I was asking about CURRENT themes and just using the stone and bee decks as an example. Please do not misunderstand my words, I like to have themed decks but I want to play in chunins and jonins and up and last time I checked none of those offer unlimited. I'll keep a unlimited deck but it will most certainly not be my main focus

I am getting a case. I think that this set will give my sage deck the boost it needs. Its got a lot of good cards, and with the kages being good trade bait you should be qble to get cards you need for the deck you want to build with them.

For me personally, I'm taking a huge break from this game now. I have no plans for Gencon or any tournaments. The last few metas have all sucked and right now I think the game is the most boring it's ever been. When people ask me if this game is worth I tell them no. I'm going to wait and see if the meta with set 25 makes it any better, but I have no reason to believe it will. The early game is way too fast and while it seems that we have a lot of variety, the truth is that we have 3 playable decks that may have some minor difference between the players, but in the end they're still the same decks (fire/lightning rush, wind/earth stall, void). While it is possible to build other decks, the 3 I mentioned are just too fast for anything to really compete against them. I might just wait till after rotation to see what happens or maybe even till next year, assuming the game is still around. I'm just finding that this is the most boring meta this game has even been since it started.

Hmmmm, well I'd rather pick it back up before it dies out because to me this game was much better then yu-gi-oh and only slightly beat out magic in my books (though magic is one of the best games out there with the best community) Any who as a last question, I've just put in my orders for a case of set 25 and also bought a box of invasion and Weapons of war, also gave myself a little treat and bought that new sexy kimono mat :3. any other suggestions for what I might need to get along with that, might also get a box of sage later if I have some money left over XD

Don't forget to pick up a few of the new starter decks as well.

Good luck getting your hands on a box of Sage's Legacy. I heard that set went out of print fast.

yea I've been hard pressed finding one, to bad I missed the money card (sage mode) would have liked to get a hold of him $_$
