thats my 2 cents at least.
Agreed, why doesn't this support Water's new theme/archetype?

Discard from hand or field? I've forgotten the wording completely after the Rashomon incident.

if it says "Ninja" it is referring to an in play ninja on the field.
If it says "Ninja Card" it is referring to a ninja in any out of play zone

Aside from the card being bad, does this mean that we will get a Yagura in the near future? Maybe? If so that would be sweet.

Thank you, but wait a minute. Village + Battlefield = in play zone, correct? So, hand, deck, RFP, Chakra, and BR are all considered out of play zones? Please clarify.

Village & Battlefield are considered "in-play". Hand, Remove from game, chakra, Battle Rewards, discard pile, deck & reinforcement deck are all considered not "in-play".

Whenever a card refers to you discarding a card (or a specific type of card) for an effect, it means from your hand unless specifically stated otherwise. Its in the advanced rulings section guys.

Since this.card says "Ninja" and not "Ninja card" it means from in play. Had it said Ninja card, it wouldn't have been a terrible Limited card.
