The Sound Four

I'm still interested (my last thread was from about a year ago!) in making a deck around this quartet, especially Tayuya. It doesn't need to be meta, or follow the Rogue list, or anything like that. Have there been any real changes, or would going for the ones that can make teams of four still work good? (Diggin' that new Tayuya, from Set 23, I think it was?)

If you are looking at a Block Sound 4 deck, then you aren't too bad off on number of options. the only one who doesn't have many forms this block is Kidomaru.

The State 2 sound 4 set finally finished in Sage's Legacy. It runs ok, but the lack of a great kimi is a bit difficult to work with.

The Chakra Eater versions from set 23-24 make me scratch my head a bit, but it works well enough for a fun deck.

Then we have next sets Chakra Give theme...which just looks plain pathetic. Though at least bandai didn't give Tayuya and Kido effects from that crappy theme.

Hmm, looks like I'll either stick to the old Impenetrable Barrier quartet, no Doki or Kimi, or possibly those Chakra Eater ones you mentioned. I'll have to look them up to be sure.

Beyond that, I'm trying to think of some good cards to put in. I remember getting advised to use that Flower Shuriken jutsu before, and of course some of the Sound Four stuff, like that Mists jutsu, and the one to get it back. Also their actual Barrier, and maybe one or two copies of those Gate cards?

Hmm, beyond that, not sure what missions would be good. I forget which version of the Power of the Curse Mark (or whatever it's name was?) was the good one, but that would be in. Hmm, I still kind of like that Research Into Forbidden Techniques (again, whatever the name was...) that shuffled Jutsus back into the deck.

Any advice? I'm hopefully going to be ordering some cards in the near future, and I'd like to know what I might want to aim for. (I do already have one or two copies of each of the Impenetrable Barrier ones, though the only Stage one I have is Stage 2 Kido I believe. Plus two of their Barrier jutsu.)

wait...Flower Shuriken?! they are all Sound CA, how would that work? I've been running Sound 4 since I started playing this game, usually focusing on Tayuya as she is my fave of the 4. Though since recently the 4 sounds have actually been curving. I run all of them.

As for the Flower Shuriken, I thought it had been recommended for this deck, but I might have mis-remembered. Something about since it's cost was just 1, no element, it made a good splash tech or something? I can drop that idea if it's not worth it, though.

I do really like that deck, even if I am a Sasuke-hater. I'll have to do some price-checking, see how close I can get to something along it's lines, assuming you don't mind. I get the feeling some of the cards might be a bit beyond my budget at the moment, especially some of the Reinforcement ones. But I'll still definitely be checking them out. (Along with re-reading all the cards, to try to wrap my head around how they might flow together.)

no problem, the only really costly cards are:
state 2 kimi 9.99
sasukes [IA] 7.99, [OV] 15.99
kidomaru (state 2) not terribly expensive, just hard to find in stock.
jirobo (state 2) 3-4.99

If the sasuke's are a problem to get, try replacing 1 sasuke with a jugo from the side deck.
The Kimimaro S2 isn't a necessity for the deck, as there isn't a good kimi to use it with.

Ah, yeah, those would definitely be long-term goals if anything, then. I'll try those substitutions, and beyond that, just build it as I can.

And just to check, as it was a card I already kind of wanted. Would splashing the Rokubi/Six Tails in since Utakata is there be at all feasible?
