They aren't technically week-long holidays. What happens is they have a few holidays that are spread out across a week. I'm not sure if they changed it because I'm too lazy to check, but I'm pretty sure 2 of the days were just citizen holidays (days that fall between 2 holidays). But would you want to go to work with a hangover from yesterday and have to plan for tomorrow?

We got a lot of back story done, but we still need to see him accompany Orochi when Orochi peaces out, then we need to see him become the Dragon Sage. That's two episodes of material, so about as long as Kakashi Gaiden. How long did that last in the manga?
